Mikhail Bogdanov (diplomat)

edit

Hello, I'm Nicnote, thanks for contributing to the internet encyclopedia! I noticed that you created the article Mikhail Bogdanov (diplomat), but you didn't provide a reliable source for the information. It's very important that for Living Persons everything is referenced. Please take a look at WP:RELIABLE and WP:CITE to kickstart your sources. It would also be great if you could re-organise his Political Career into a couple of sentences rather than a list. Please take a look at other diplomat's articles, such as Andrei Karlov to see the style. Let me know on my talk page if you have any questions! Speedy deletion nomination of Mikhail Bogdanov (diplomat)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mikhail Bogdanov (diplomat) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.mid.ru/en/about/structure/deputy_ministers/-/asset_publisher/7AT17IymWZWQ/content/id/647875. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Maxman013 (talk) 06:33, 2 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your edits

edit

Hello, Malayaedit while editing Battle of Mosul (2016–present), you keep on adding content that really isn't much notable. Most of it consists of killed militants, statistics and statements which aren't especially notable. We shouldn't note every little detail. The article of the battle has already become too large and is filled with some non-notable details. On Wikipedia we have to make sure that edits fulfill notability. An advance may be notable and might be added even if it isn't much widely reported. Notability has to seen per context. Deaths, statistics etc in a place alresdy filled with it aren't really notable if not widely reported. Please contribute material to the article per Wikipedia guidelines, everyone is allowed. But please take care that they do fulfill Wikipedia guidelines. I myself normally avoid non-notable edits to maintain the quality of the article. Please contribute what you want, within rules and guidelines of this site of course. MonsterHunter32 (talk) 19:31, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

New facts, new reference

edit

Hi Malayedit! With your update of the name of the mayor of Lüderitz you left a new name but an old reference, making the information inconsistent: The reference still supports the old name. Please provide a new reference whenever you update facts in order not to confuse readers. I have undone your update for now but if you have a source for the new mayor's name then please add it. Cheers, Pgallert (talk) 17:56, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ousman Badjie

Look again and again about your additions, because there are two people with the name Ousman Badjie. Perhaps there is a confusion.

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Libyan Airlines, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jetstreamer Talk 12:09, 12 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

You updated Herschel Grynzspan article to indicate he joined the nazi party in 1932.

edit

You need to produce a source for this. I should point out that Jews were explicitly not welcome in the nazi party and with an obviously Jewish name, I doubt if he could have "passed." You need to respond really fast -- I am probably going to report your vandalism.--Jrm2007 (talk) 16:36, 14 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yes, based on a book in Google Books. If you don't believe, you can search it yourself.

No, you need to provide a citation if you want such an improbable thing to remain in the biography.--Jrm2007 (talk) 09:20, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Furthermore, you said he joined it in 1932. Grynzspan was 11 in 1932 and so he really could not have joined any political party. If you really found this in a book someplace, the book is plainly wrong.--Jrm2007 (talk) 09:25, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Alright, Sorry for the mistake I made. I supposed to search for the correct source.

Hi there, why I for some pages, I cannot save my edit??.

Daily Mail reference

edit

Daily Mail is discouraged as a reference - WP:DAILYMAIL - so I reverted your edit until you can cite a different one. Home Lander (talk) 01:29, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Battle of Mosul

edit

You're still adding content to Battle of Mosul, but all you've added is booby trapping deaths, plated mines, bombs, IEDs deaths, and low-level clashes along with arrests of some terrorists etc. This is not enough to include as a part of a major battle. I have created a new section for post-victory clashes. You should add your comtent there. Also please try to avoid deaths due to planted mines, bombs etc left by ISIS as well as clashes happening in areas outside Mosul until sources say they are directly related such as trying to recapture or help fellow militants like in Imam Gharbi. Good luck and thank you anyway. MonsterHunter32 (talk) 21:25, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proper nouns

Hi there, re: this, please note that "social reformer", "actor", "director" and "singer" are not proper nouns, nor do these words start a sentence. Thus, they should not be capitalised. Please see Template:Infobox person instructions. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:14, 25 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

TheFamousPeople.com as a source

edit

Hi Malayedit. I've been looking over the use of thefamouspeople.com as a source or link in Wikipedia. There have been concerns of it being spammed, and doesn't appear to be a reliable source per Wikipedia:Help_desk/Archives/2017_May_29#The_Famous_People:_Reliable.3F. I noticed that you've added it, and wanted to let you know why I removed it. If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 02:59, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop copying and pasting text from sources; doing so violates copyright law. Also, close paraphrasing, or changing one or two words, doesn't make it any better. You must use your own words to summarize what the source says.
The next time I see you committing a copyright violation, I will report you and you may be blocked from editing. — MShabazz Talk/Stalk 14:27, 27 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
