34th Filmfare Awards

The 34th Filmfare Awards were held in 1988, after a two-year gap. The big winner on the night was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which won eight awards, and catapulted Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla to superstardom overnight. The runner-up was Tezaab, which won four awards, and also catapulted Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit to superstardom overnight.
