The XP Falcon was built from Feb 1965- Sept 1966 The XP Falcon was much the same as the XM, Visual changes consisted of a flatter bonnet, raised front fenders, a wrap around bumper and horizontal bar-type grille. The XP also had a stronger sub frame. The Fairmont was introduced in Dec 65 replacing the Futura and Squire. It got bucket seats, Super Pursuit engine, auto trans and disc brakes Engines; This car has the 170 Pursuit, also available the base 144 cu in and the 200 Super Pursuit Sedan; Standard, Deluxe, Futura (later replaced by Fairmont) Hardtop; Deluxe or Futura Wagon; Standard, Deluxe, Squire (later replaced by Fairmont) Again the Deluxe got a single chrome side strip, the Futura, twin strips forming a 'C' at the back Also Utility and Panel Van; Standard or Deluxe |
