DescriptionRosetta Stone, British Museum (5679138532).jpg
The British Museum is an amazing collection of artifacts from around the world - primarily because of the British once having had a world-spanning empire and having helped themselves to artifacts from its colonies.
This is one of the star exhibits at the British Museum: Rosetta Stone, found by French soldiers. Written in two Egyptian scripts and in Greek, it became the key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphics, and helped advance Egyptology a great deal.
