Description
Polski: Scena historyczna, wielopostaciowa, w pejzażu. Pośrodku kompozycji tłum kobiet, mężczyzn i dzieci, wśród nich zabici i ranni, gestami wyrażają gwałtowne emocje. Ta grupa skontrastowana została z usytuowanymi z lewej strony kompozycji, wyjeżdżającymi z głębi lasu, oddziałami zbrojnych. Na czele wojska wyróżnia się grupa przywódców oraz dostojników kościelnych. Zamkniętej ścianą lasu lewej stronie kompozycji przeciwstawiona jest prawa strona - otwarty pejzaż z widokiem płonących drewnianych zabudowań wioski na dalszym planie. Niebo pokryte ciężkimi, burzowymi chmurami oraz smugą dymu z palących się domostw. Pierwszy plan tonie w cieniu, światłem zaakcentowano środkowy plan. Kolorystyka z przewagą zieleni, brązów, beżu, żółcieni oraz czerwieni.
