editi see some of false intentional edits are made in this section of article. i have removed all dead links added active ones. i have also edited some racially motivated words and sentences. since this is sub section is attached to the sentiment of many people and two or more countries please keep watching on this.
Nepalese American Population
editThe following conflicting statements appear in the article under "History" and "Population" sections:
"According to the 1990 U.S. Census, there were 2,616 Americans with Nepalese ancestry."
"The current estimation of population of Nepalese Americans is around 1,000,000."
The 1,000,000 figure also appears in the table under "Nepali Overseas" in article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Nepal and links to this article.Postgradmalaise (talk) 05:15, 4 August 2009 (UTC)d
I do not find anywhere written 1,000,000 (One Million) current Nepali population in USA. And if somewhere written this, thats fault. This figure suppose to be around 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand).
And if it is so, its not too different in 1990 US census and current estimation. Nepali Population has been increasing in US by at least 5,000 to 10,000 every year.
One more thing, I don't know why this article is categorized under "Nepalese" tag. It suppose to be "Nepali". The previous word sounds humiliating somewhere. I hope creator of this article understand the value of an human being.

- The figure of 100,000 or anywhere above that in this article and in the Overseas Nepalese article are both unreferenced and thus are not reliable figures. As for the word Nepalese it is shown as being the correct name per the following reference:
- "Nepal". The World Fact Book, 2003 Edition. CIA. 1 August 2003. Retrieved 24 September 2009.
noun: Nepalese (singular and plural) adjective: Nepalese
and - "NEPAL". World Fact Book, current. CIA. 11 September 2009. Retrieved 24 September 2009.
noun: Nepalese (singular and plural) adjective: Nepalese
- Unless someone can provide a reliably sourced reference for the stated figures, as I had done for the population in the infobox, they will be stuck from the article. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 13:37, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Anuradha Koirala has not yet settled in America so I have removed her name from the list of Notable Americans of Nepalese orgin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.21.211.14 (talk) 10:49, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
