Tricesimo (Friulian: Tresesin) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,471 and an area of 17.5 square kilometres (6.8 sq mi).[3]
