Reversion
editHi Finn Bjørklid! I just reverted som changes in the article "Islamism" du to vandalism. By mistake, I also reverted a reversion you made. Sorry. Anyway, you did the same thing as I was doing, namely reverting vandalism. It turned out to be quite a pervasive form of vandalism, and I reverted everything at once including the interwiki link to bokmål. It's okay now. --Thathánka Íyotake (talk) 19:48, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
- I did? Then I am sorry, it wasn't my intent to edit the English version of the article. I borrowed text and info for the Norwegian version, so I must have saved the wrong page by mistake. It's a good thing you noticed and reverted the changes. Again, I am sorry any disturbance I have caused. --Finn Bjørklid (talk) 20:52, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
- Okei, reading more carefully I see that you are not saying I was the cause of vandalism. I noticed that the interwiki went to a wrong page, and I added the correct one. No big deal. --Finn Bjørklid (talk) 20:55, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Derby
editThanks for your message, Finn. I'll look at that identity question later today. Best wishes -- Andrew Dalby 07:09, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
- I did also translate the article Joseph Wright of Derby to Norwegian. Quite interesting. --Finn Bjørklid (talk) 18:39, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
William Ernest Henley
editAccording to the ODNB: "The financial security achieved from his editorship of London enabled Henley to marry the young woman he had met in hospital when she was visiting her brother, a captain in the merchant navy and a fellow patient of Henley's. She was Hannah (Anna) Johnson Boyle (1855–1925), the youngest daughter of Edward Boyle, mechanical engineer, of Edinburgh and his wife, Mary Ann Mackie. They were married in Edinburgh on 22 January 1878 and set up home in rented rooms in Shepherd's Bush, the first of many they were to occupy in this area of London over the next ten years."
No mention of Robinson. I can email you the ODNB article if required. --Mervyn (talk) 11:28, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, the same wife, just different traditions in spelling the name. No need to send me the article, just glad that you was indeed the right person to ask. --Finn Bjørklid (talk) 11:34, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
Wikidata and Interwiki links
editYou are receiving this as you have recently added an interwiki link to a page!
Wikidata has been deployed to the English Wikipedia. Wikidata manages interwiki links on a separate project on pages such as this. This means that on Wikipedia articles there is now a language bar on the left hand side of your screen where you can edit and add links rather than adding them into the articles themselves.
If you have any questions regarding Wikidata please use the talk page Wikipedia talk:Wikidata.
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
