Copyvio tagging

edit

Hi, when you tag something for RD1, can you make sure you've checked off all of the revisions that contain the copied text? All of them have to go, not just the very first one in which they appear. -- asilvering (talk) 03:35, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Will do, sorry! Thanks for responding so quickly to the revdel, though - let me know if there's anything else I can do (in general) to make the process of RD1 easier. Cheers. LR.127 (talk) 03:47, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Just one more thing: if you leave the URL of the source (or description, if it's not online) in the edit summary when you remove the content, that can be helpful for future editors. (From the admin perspective, so long as the URL is in the revdel request template and all the revisions have been tagged, you've already done all you can to make the job easier.) -- asilvering (talk) 03:52, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Reverted Edit

edit

You reverted an edit I made regarding Salem, Missouri. While i cant remember off the top of my head what the edit entailed, I am a born and raised citizen of 31 years of Salem. I'm imformed and I'm 99.9% confident my edit was accurate, so im not understanding why you reverted it? Seems kind of power trippy, ya know? 🤨 Awkwardstoner26 (talk) 03:41, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi! The two edits I reverted were from a month ago, linked here and here. On your talk page, I mentioned that I saw your edits as test edits, and reverted them as such.
Being a "born and raised citizen of 31 years of Salem" doesn't allow you to take priority over an article. As for the power tripping... I'll try and stay humble. Cheers :-). LR.127 (talk) 11:56, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Lots of AFC/R declines

edit

When a redirect is bolded at the beginning of an article, like +Control Pad at D-pad, please do not decline the request on the grounds of "unlikely search term". I've created a couple of these improper declines, and I plan to create more. Nyttend (talk) 07:58, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello - thanks for checking in! I declined many requests because they were a suspected sockpuppet of TotalTruthTeller24 - someone I was warned about accepting requests from (here). I boldly declined the requests and filed an investigation. You're right in that "unlikely search term" was a bad reasoning, though. I'll refrain from mindlessly using that reason in the future. List of onomatopoeias page Human Vocals section

edit

Hi, curious as to why the examples of in the Human Vocals section for List of onomatopoeias was quickly deleted? The other sections on List of onomatopoeias page have examples. Can you share your reasoning and next steps for including examples? This would be easily helpful for non-English speakers. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7000:3E00:C4A0:547F:3F7A:8ECE:2D30 (talk) 22:45, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and thanks for your contributions! I agree that fully reverting the edit might have been too much; I've re-added some of your edit back. I noticed that certain parts might be too much, for example:
*Meh, the sound someone might make when experiencing museum fatigue
What's the purpose of referencing museum fatigue there? When I restored part of your edit, I removed this and other examples.
Feel free to discuss further. Cheers. LR.127 (talk) 22:56, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
