genuinely improving articles
Thank you, master of the userboxes, caring "about genuinely improving" quality articles, for Sonic: After the Sequel and Afternoon, for helpful reviewing, for listing your plans (such as Navajo language, and up to 2016) before your achievements, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Five years now, and we miss you! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:02, 29 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hey Gerda, nice to see you again. Back in 2015 I kind of had an awakening that I needed to get serious about my career, so my online activities fell to the wayside. It's been an interesting few years; I live in Seattle now and my interests and attitudes toward life have changed a lot since I was active here. I remembered about my account here a couple months ago and tried to log in, but all the passwords I could think of ended up being wrong and I didn't have access to my old email. Last night I tried a different one, and voila. I see a few of my GAs have been removed; I suppose that's the inevitable flow of time and improving standards. And Freedom Planet finally made TFA - I'd like to think that played a role in more people seeming to know about it nowadays.
Anyway, I really appreciate you following up over the years with updates about the pages I've worked on, and good work with all your DYKs! Tezero (talk) 07:56, 30 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tezero. I thought about you today and was saddened to find that you're on Wikipedia:Missing Wikipedians. We never interacted all that much while you were active, but as an observer, I've always admired your writing skills and your collaborative spirit. I wanted to thank you for all that you have contributed. There no doubt in my mind whatsoever that you have made this project immeasurably better. I wish you the best of luck in all of your real-life endeavors. Sayonara, Tezero. —Mz7 (talk) 16:11, 19 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

I was just going back through some older WT:VG discussions and noticed your name. I'd like to echo Mz7; it would be great to have you around again. Sam Walton (talk) 15:47, 12 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

I was just remembering back to that PETA browser game article you worked on a few years ago and then I got to wondering what you were up to these days. My free time has greatly shrunk and my editing has reduced so I understand the need for a wikibreak, but please do come back when you get more free time. You're a unique voice and a positive influence on the project! We need more like you! -Thibbs (talk) 21:51, 26 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Tai Kamiya

edit

Greetings. I noted you made the Digimon video games list into a FL. I have been working into the series' protagonist, Tai Kamiya, so that it passes notability and I wondered if you had sources for his appearances in the video games. Anyway, keep up the good work. TFA

Thank you today for Tony Hawk's Underground, introduced (in 2014): "When asked, this is what I unfailingly name as my favorite video game of all time: it's got magically addictive gameplay, a killer soundtrack, a park editor that still hasn't been replicated, a set of diverse and very alive level maps, and probably the deepest, most relatable plot ever featured in an extreme sports game. Way back in the summer of 2006, when I was 11, this game introduced me to numerous rock bands I still dig, on top of the entire genre of rap. In other words, it was predictable by all estimates that I would pick this article up as a project, and I'm now ready to take it across the final border. I'm especially proud of this article in particular being brought here, as it would be the first FA (it's currently the only GA) in the Tony Hawk series, which is represented unusually poorly among Wikipedia's recognized content considering its popularity."! - We miss you. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:20, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
