Graphics Lab/Illustration workshop

The Graphics Lab is a project to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. Requests for image improvements can be added to the workshop pages: Illustrations, Photographs and Maps. For questions or suggestions one can use the talk pages: Talk:Graphics Lab, Talk:Illustrations, Talk:Photographs and Talk:Maps.
This specific page is the requests page for the illustration workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be improved or created for a Wikipedia article. Clicking the "New Request" button will bring you to a standard template for submitting requests, as well as general advice that should be followed.

Advice to requesters

All requests: Please make sure your request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies. If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension. Our fair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account. Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed. If a request is done to your satisfaction, please mark it with {{resolved}}. SVG requests: Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize. Per our non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

Is the dragon meant to be identical between the coat of arms and the flag? Just asking, since that coat of arms image that you sent is by far the highest quality version I've been able to find, so I'd like to use it as a reference for both.

I would like to translate these graphics to Turkish, and I see there are a dozen other languages with this article so I hope it would be useful to them too. For example in Ukraine the forthcoming installation of 200 MW by DTEK is very important for stabilizing the grid and reducing blackouts.

Feel free to adjust if easier for you or if you think will look better - obviously the wiggles in the graph and styles of buildings don't need to be exactly the same. Please ask if unsure. -- Chidgk1 (talk) 13:29, 30 November 2024 (UTC)

I've uploaded chart B2, above. I've captured the concepts without the squiggles. As I look at it now, I think I should change the big green-to-red-to-green rectangles to a smooth gradient because the storage-to-unloading transitions don't change instantaneously at the vertical dashed lines. Notable changes from the former flag is the swapping of the blue and red stripes in the top right corner, and the coat of arms of the current commander in the centre. Hi! I was wondering if someone can kindly please vectorize the flag of Bissau, the capital city of Guinea-Bissau? It uses a Gyronny pattern that is typically used by Portuguese cities as Guinea-Bissau was previously a Portuguese colony. The flag uses a Gyronny pattern of black and red with the coat of arms of the city placed in front. I have included the former flag of Dili, the capital city of East Timor to use as a reference as this flag used Gyronny pattern while East Timor was a colony of Portgual. I also included a version of the Gyronny pattern flag of Ceuta, Spain that does not have a coat of arms on it to use as a base so the request can be done more quickly.
