Hi! I've noticed some of your work on California-related articles and think it shows that you're exactly the kind of editor we need at WikiProject California. Please consider this your personal invitation to join us; if you're interested, joining is as simple as adding yourself to this list.

The project currently tracks 81,324 California-related articles on English Wikipedia, with the long-term goal of getting them all awarded the Good Article badge   or better (we've got 938 there so far!), and we'd be truly grateful for any assistance, large or small, you are able to lend.

P.S. Did I mention we're in charge of the   California portal too? Have any ideas on how it could be better? We're all ears.

Hello from WikiProject California!

As part of a recent update to our project main page we are conducting a roll call to check which members are still active and interested in working on California related content. If you are still interested in participating, simply move your username from the inactive section of the participant list to the active section. I hope you will find the redesigned project pages helpful, and I wanted to welcome you back to the project. If you want you can take a look at the newly redesigned:

As well as the existing pages:

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, and add it to your watchlist, if it isn't already.

Again, hi! ~~~~

There is also this variant for the San Francisco Bay Area task force, which was last used on August 17, 2008.

==WikiProject San Francisco Bay Area roll call==

Hello from the San Francisco Bay Area task force!

We are conducting a roll call to check which members are still active and interested in working on San Francisco Bay Area related content. There is still a lot of work to do, in particular the hard work of tracking down articles which are not categorized within Category:San Francisco Bay Area or not already included in the task force on their talk pages. If you are still interested in participating, simply move your username from the inactive section of the participant list to the active section. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with our resources:

If you hadn't already noticed, Portal:San Francisco Bay Area has been revived, after years of inactivity. However, its not going to stay alive on its own.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, and add it to your watchlist, if it isn't already.

Thanks for your time!

The California Star is awarded for excellence in editing California related articles. It is also the typical award given from WikiProject California, WikiProject California State Highways and WikiProject California County Routes, as well as the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, Santa Barbara County, Inland Empire and California State University task forces.

It was originally suggested by Ronbo76, designed by thuglas and first awarded on March 6, 2007.

Userboxes for project members

edit

Userboxes are small, colored boxes designed to appear only on a Wikipedian's user page, as a communicative notice about the user, in order to promote more effectively collaboration on articles.

Membership tracking categories

edit

The userbox templates shown above automatically add the User page they're placed on to one of the following categories:

You can also place yourself into any of those tracking categories by adding a line like this one (it should be altered to match one of the other categories above if you want to join a task force, naturally) to the bottom of your User page:

[[Category:WikiProject California participants|{{BASEPAGENAME}}]]

Remember to add your name to the related participant list of whichever project/task force(s) you join, too.

Participants lists

edit

The links here will take you directly to each page's Edit section, where you can add yourself by just adding an entry in the list with a link to your User page:
