"Sauerkraut?"
[edit source]I only know sauerkraut as a cooked dish made of shredded cabbage. This recipe seems to refer to it as a raw leaf. Can anyone clarify? Thanks. Jessicapierce 22:09, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sauerkraut is actually fermented cabbage. This recipe may be a mistranslation, i.e. they might really mean fresh cabbage. However, sometimes whole cabbages are fermented to make sauerkraut, and maybe that's what they mean here. With any luck, someone with knowledge of Croatian cooking will stumble across this and sort it out one way or another! Webaware talk 23:50, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
