"Sauerkraut?"

I only know sauerkraut as a cooked dish made of shredded cabbage. This recipe seems to refer to it as a raw leaf. Can anyone clarify? Thanks. Jessicapierce 22:09, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Sauerkraut is actually fermented cabbage. This recipe may be a mistranslation, i.e. they might really mean fresh cabbage. However, sometimes whole cabbages are fermented to make sauerkraut, and maybe that's what they mean here.
