Denys Kostrzhevskyi

Denys Kostrzhevskyi (Денис Костржевський) (born October 29, 1968 ) is a Ukrainian businessman. As of early February 2022, he is the chairman of the board of Kyiv International Airport, and the president of the construction company Miskzhitlobud.

Biography

Date of birth: October 29, 1968

Place of birth: Kyiv.

1975-1985 studying in secondary specialized school No. 129 with in-depth study of the English language. (in Kyiv)

1987-1989 — serving in the armed forces of the USSR.

I graduated from Shevchenko Kyiv State University (1985—1992), specialization — solid-state optics. Teacher of physics and mathematics.

I completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (1992—1993)

I studied at the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (2001-2003) and received a Master’s degree in Public Administration. In 2011 I participated in the Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) program — Development of airports.

1993-1995 — General Director at Viks LLC; sale of household appliances.

1995-1997 — General Director and Deputy Director at Ansti-Transfer LLC; work on the securities market, offering services of a registrar, a custodian.

1997-1998 — the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, assistant deputy.

1998-2002 — the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the Green party; member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Construction, Transport and Communications; head of the subcommittee on land relations, urban planning and architecture; member of the faction of the Green Party of Ukraine.

2004-2006. Head of the party — Party of Rights Protection of Ukraine. Head of the All-Ukrainian public organization - Maidan Pravozakhystu (Maidan for Protecting Rights).

In 2006, I left politics and returned to business.

2004-2007 — deputy director at LLC “Miskzhytlobud” Construction Company” (City House Construction Company).

2007-2009 — President of the company at “Construction Company “Miskzhytlobud” LLC.

July 2009 - September 2009 - Deputy General Director for the development of the airport complex at International Airport “Kyiv” (Zhuliany).

2009-2011 — General Director at Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany).

2011 to the present — Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany).

• Airport “Kyiv” - Design and construction of terminals and infrastructure of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport.
• Creation of the Construction Developer Company “Miskzhytlobud” (design, construction, sale, operation) of residential and commercial real estate objects.
• Development and management of the airport “Kyiv”: drawing in international airlines, creation of managing and service companies. As a result, “Kyiv” airport ranks 2nd in Ukraine in terms of the number of flights and passenger traffic, and was awarded international awards in 2013 and 2019 as the best airport, serving up to 4 million passengers per year.

Charitable activity

The Church of John of Kronstadt was built at the expense of Denys Kostrzhevskyi in Kyiv.

Interests and hobbies

I’m fond of fishing, hunting, diving, swimming, mountain hiking and water skiing, tourism.I love traveling. I’m also keen on art and architecture.
