Started a page requested on the WikiProject Paranormal to do page. The "Robert Taylor incident" was requested and I've spent some time building on this page. Not many references so far, but I can dig up plenty more, so I'll be doing that for the rest of the day.

Regarding the title, Robert Taylor incident, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with it. The Lonnie Zamora sighting is under his name and the Rendlesham Forest Incident is named after the place of the sighting. Should this page be renamed "Robert Taylor" or due to it being a common-ish name, "Dechmont Law Incident" or as suggested on the Dechmont Law page itself "Livingston Incident"? Lack of reliable sources

At present the article has a number of failings. First and foremost there is no indication of notability (involvement of Lothian police isn't notable). If this incident did not receive mainstream attention then it's a candidate for deletion. Furthermore, none of the sources cites are WP:Reliable source, a necessary component of wikipedia articles. The incident received mainstream attention as is evidenced by the news report uploaded to and hosted by YouTube. The matter was in the media at the time and continues to this day as evidenced by the articles by Edinburgh Evening News and The Telegraph. Bob Taylor received an obituary in The Economist after his death. All aforementioned references have been cited in the article now. --Factorylad (talk) 16:01, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

I've tagged the article as pov and unverified due to many statements being cited only from ufo websites, which fail WP:RS quite heavily. Factual claims require reliable sources. Jefffire (talk) 11:50, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Taylor's dog

There is no further mention of his dog after the initial sighting. Did it have a reaction? Did it stay with its owner? What happened to it? Would be interesting to know. Hunor-Koppany (talk) 02:32, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Good point. There was a small bit about the Robert Taylor incident in the Sunday Post (Scottish newspaper) on 3 May 2009. It does mention the dog's name was Lara and when Bob Taylor regained conciousness the dog was barking furiously. Grievous Angel (talk) 11:13, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Removed part of explanation

I was reading through this and it all sounded okay, till I hit the following piece. I have moved it here until references can be found. It did make me chuckle!

As this incident happened during the Cold War, it is possible that if the object was man-made may have been a top secret spy drone based on Nazi UFO technology used by the Soviets who were possibly spying on US Military facilities based in Britain, and also the fact it was said to have camouflaged itself invisible which a similar project by the M.o.D. has made an Invisible Tank. Reports of high radiation levels around the incident area may relate the 'UFO' to similar aviation projects such as the nuclear powered variants of the Convair X-6, Tupolev Tu-119, and Project Pluto. However, the case is still unconfirmed.
