The tracklisting of the promo CD with the Remixes should be removed, it is not an official release. The site misspelled Lady Gaga's name, left out Bradley Cooper entirely on the site, mistitled "Is That Alright?" and literally says "a pressing of official and unofficial remixes". It is clearly marked as an unofficial bootleg CD. Not to mention that the site fails to mention any relation to Gaga's record label. --[[Special:Contributions/2A02:810B:1040:FB8:AD49:1AB0:134E:29FD|2A02:810B:1040:FB8:AD49:1AB0:134E:29FD]] ([[User talk:2A02:810B:1040:FB8:AD49:1AB0:134E:29FD|talk]]) 21:21, 27 December 2018 (UTC) |

Template:Lady Gaga songs?
@IndianBio: Do you think we should add this song to Template:Lady Gaga songs? ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:24, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
- I'm on the fence about this being a single still. They released it as part of the album, and not independently. —IB [ Poke ] 11:54, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
- Another editor added the song to the template with this edit. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:14, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Copy edit
Since this article is up to B-class, I've requested a copy edit from the Guild of Copy Editors as a step to Good status. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:12, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
- No, I'm not done adding content to the article. Can you please stop hurrying up articles like this? Its annoying as fuck! —IB [ Poke ] 09:20, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
- Calm down, I was acting in good faith. I'm not rushing anything, and sometimes it takes time for articles to get picked up for review. You don't own the article, and any editor can nominate any article for review at any time. No need to get upset. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:11, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
- I don't own the article but its me who is hardworking on every article, so the politest thing for you would have been to ask me if it was ready for GOCE. I'm not upset just find your ways to be extremely disrespectful of me or others as an editor. —IB [ Poke ] 09:13, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- I was trying to help. There's no need to be so offended. Let's move on. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:04, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

Shallow (A Star Is Born) → Shallow (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper song) – Should be the correct name per MOS for song naming conventions in Wikipedia. —IB [ Poke ] 20:38, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support. Per WP:SONGDAB, use the name of the performer who first published the song. Bluesatellite (talk) 03:37, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

- Support, current title just made it seem as if the disambiguation is part of the song's name. Also, per WP:SONGDAB. --Gonnym (talk) 10:13, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support. I think this would clarify it much better. There is another song called Shallow by Porcupine Tree and this would better differentiate the two by their respective artists as well separating them from the other disambiguations. Derekhero0178 (talk) 12:52, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support to properly comply with WP:SONGDAB. Snuggums (talk / edits) 13:38, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Sure! I do wonder, though, are there rules/preferences re: "Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga" vs. "Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper"? Do we display names alphabetically, or...? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:09, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support with Gaga listed first, as it is on iTunes. Also, should it be considered a promotional single? RKJ 5 (talk) 16:03, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Single release vs. promo release is a separate matter that should be discussed in another thread. This one only concerns the song title. Snuggums (talk / edits) 22:28, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and the six "support" votes above. Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 17:30, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support per the above commentary. Aoba47 (talk) 20:47, 30 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support, as this is where it should have been in the first place, hence why I made the redirect. Ss112 18:24, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
- Support. Would also not be opposed to Shallow (A Star Is Born song) per the precedent set by Disney song articles and The Hanging Tree (The Hunger Games song). Chase (talk | contributions) 21:09, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

GA?
@IndianBio: This article has been upgraded to B-class status. I'm curious if you have plans to GA-nom soon? The article seems to be in pretty good shape to me. ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:01, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- Nope, not yet. Article is grossly unstable still. —IB [ Poke ] 12:25, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

- @Another Believer: I have checked it. However the article is becoming unstable due to continuous IP disruption hence I have requested protection. I hope you can support me on getting this article protected otherwise it fails WP:GA? on stability. —IB [ Poke ] 13:36, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

Country song? I say no
This article originally listed this song as being "country", and that's it. I strongly disagree - 1) iTunes lists this song as "pop", 2) This song isn't on any US country music chart, but it is on pop charts, 3) Most articles I've read describe it as a power ballad, or just as pop. There are some folk elements as well. The only connection to country music is that the character in the *movie* portrays a country music singer. However, realise that this is a fictional character, and Cooper himself is not a country singer in real life.MisterZed (talk) 20:20, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- @MisterZed: I strongly suggest that you go through Wikipedia's policy of verifiability and reliable sourcing. We have NPR calling it "country croon" explicitly and the other source from Rolling Stone calls it folk-pop. These are two extremely reliable sources and hence we go by them. Not what you or me or anybody else editing this article thinks. iTunes always does generalized listing of genres based on the main artist's genre and is not to be considered. Now coming to power ballad, its not a musical genre, its a style of performance. So it cannot be listed. —IB [ Poke ] 20:33, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- Surely NPR's article is just one person's opinion, though? MisterZed (talk) 10:38, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- I agree with IndianBio. Also, there's nothing wrong with calling a song a ballad and adding the ballads category (assuming secondary coverage supports this claim), but a ballad is not a genre of music. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:35, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
Remove Remix Promo CD from tracklisting
The tracklisting of the promo CD with the Remixes should be removed, it is not an official release. The site misspelled Lady Gaga's name, left out Bradley Cooper entirely on the site, mistitled "Is That Alright?" and literally says "a pressing of official and unofficial remixes". It is clearly marked as an unofficial bootleg CD. Not to mention that the site fails to mention any relation to Gaga's record label. --2A02:810B:1040:FB8:AD49:1AB0:134E:29FD (talk) 21:21, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
