• These are not cities, so they should be titled as Sinyang County and Ongjin County. This Sinyang is not as notable as Sinyang Beach in Jeju. There is also a town of Sinyang (Sinyang-ŭp). But it would certainly be primary for Sinyang County. Kauffner (talk) 13:34, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Do you want to construct the disambiguation pages Sinyang, Ongjin? Sinyang-eup is also in Sinyang, South Pyongan. Sinyang Beach is in Sinyang-ri, Chujado (Chuja-myeon), Goseong-ri, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju Province. Sinyang-ri are 12 in South Korea. Indeed what is the primary? China, Japan, and Vietnam use "Foo District", while South Korea uses "Foo County". The NK counties are 郡/군/gun, the same nomenclature as South Korea and Japan. It is common for an Asian county to have the same name as the county seat. The English-language convention is that the plain name refers to the town, which is why the counties get pre-disambiguated. Now it is the talk about using generic class ", South Pyongan" or not using. If you want to talk about that all counties in North Korea move to "~ County", please open a new at a talk page like Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Korean). Before Korea was divided, 郡/군/gun of Korea is the same. At 1952 North Korea was divided a gun to the several small gun. Nobody knows that gun of North Korea is a county, or a town actually. North Korea government has not announced anything for that. gun of South Korea is different from gun of North Korea, although they have the same name 郡/군/gun. I would think KCNA would know. They give Sinyang County and Ongjin County. There is also an Ongjin County in South Korea. But as Ongjin in North Korea is the site of the first battle of the Korean War, we can justify making it primary. Kauffner (talk) 08:44, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

• Ongjin County is ambiguous, and I don't see the historical fact mentioned by Kauffner as being sufficient to support a conclusion that a reader who searches for this ambiguous term is "much more likely" to be looking for the North Korean county than the South Korean one.   • I think that Ongjin County, South Hwanghae is the primary topic as User:Kauffner's opinion. Ongjin County, Incheon is never primary. Only Baengnyeongdo, Daecheongdo, Socheongdo and Yeonpyeongdo are in the original Ongjin County. Most parts of current Ongjin County, Incheon was in former Bucheon County. Ongjin County, Incheon is called ″Incheon Ongjin″ in South Korea. By WP:TWODABS a disambiguation page is not needed. Sawol (talk) 13:35, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
