Hello, I've just reverted your re-addition of this uncited and inaccurate casualty figure. You may not be aware of it, but there's a discussion of this at [[Talk:War in Afghanistan (2001–present)#Taliban and insurgents casualty figure removed from the infobox]] where retaining this figure has received little support. You're very welcome to participate in that discussion, of course, but please don't re-add the figure without a specific source. Regards, [[User:Nick-D|Nick-D]] ([[User talk:Nick-D|talk]]) 08:13, 1 May 2012 (UTC) |

:Hello, I've just reverted you again. Several editors have commented on this issue in the discussion at [[Talk:War in Afghanistan (2001–present)#Taliban and insurgents casualty figure removed from the infobox]] I notified you about yesterday, and there is almost no support for retaining the figure. Please join that discussion rather than edit war. I have also reverted your reversion in the [[List of Taliban fatality reports in Afghanistan]] article - I fail to see how an article by the BBC's defense correspondent on the exact topic this article covers isn't entirely relevant to it. I will report you for edit warring if you continue your conduct, and I strongly encourage you to join the above discussion. A clear consensus that these figures should not be included in the article was reached weeks ago (with no input from you, other than to edit war). The article these figures are claimed to have been taken from has been deleted in the last few days as a result of an AfD discussion (which, again, you didn't participate in). And yet you edit warred the figures back into the article referenced to an obvious Wikipedia mirror. You will be reported for edit warring if you do anything like this again. This is your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss things with them. At the end of your messages you must put your signature by signing with four ~~~~ (just as I have done) or by pressing the button in the editor bar as shown here in the picture. By the way, you don't need to sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted. Another valuable page that may provide information and assistance is User:Persian Poet Gal/"How-To" Guide to Wikipedia. My name is Buster7. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information. Good Luck editing! |

Keep the main page simple
See this User talk:89.168.116.77, please. If you want to add more details about the 20th century, then add them to History of Vietnam since 1945. Let's keep the main page, History of Vietnam, as short as possible. Waorca (talk) 20:21, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on War in Afghanistan (2001–present). Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Darkness Shines (talk) 12:17, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
- Necrometics.com is not a reliable source, please self revert your last edit on War in Afghanistan (2001–present). Darkness Shines (talk) 11:32, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hold on a minute. I see zero evidence of edit warring by Stumink. While in general it is true that "edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made" I really don't think that statement was ever meant to apply to a case with ZERO reverts. Stumink did everything right. He cited a source, and when it was determined that the source was unreliable, he replaced it with a better source. --Guy Macon (talk) 20:07, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Iran–Iraq War, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --M4gnum0n (talk) 12:19, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:59, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
