: Wow, you're an ass. Big surprise from a 20 year-old on Wikipedia. I've reverted your change. Your points are stupid; I could just as well copy the contents of the template; I've discussed with the template author; and again, you're an ass. The article is making a ridiculous claim only sourcing Jonah Falcon himself via a tabloid. No scientific or photographic visual verification exists to back up these claims. The evidence that is out there such as provided suggests that it is a bold and inaccurate exaggeration. --174.0.34.231 (talk) 13:11, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think editors who are attempting to contribute across a language barrier are brave, and should be given assistance. I have seen discussions you've been in and been to your page before. I make plenty of formatting errors and typos on my own, but am pained when I see native English speakers make and leave their mistakes. While I couldn't help with the situation, I'm glad to help. Good luck. Dru of Id (talk) 04:21, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
protection tag on THUNDERSTORMs?????
Dear Tbhotch, I am like you. Why have a protection tag on a page titled THUNDERSTORM?????? If you ever find the out the story behind it, could you post something. No reason, other than a case of none-of-my-business curiosity. If you think it not wise to post something, that is ok too. Jack --Jackehammond (talk) 05:16, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Alright how come you undid the images I posted? Did they have a copyright issue?

I don't have time to look into this right now, but I noticed you were the user who started the ANI thread on User:Noozgroop's improper edits and refusal to react here. It looks like they're still making the exact same type of edit now for which they were blocked earlier this year, as far as I can tell.--Yaksar(let's chat)16:46, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, cool. I just noticed that a ton of those changes were being made (not all of them which seemed to match the article's style, but I honestly didn't check as much as I should have) and that the user was oddly non-responsive so I thought I'd tell you just in case. Thanks.--Yaksar(let's chat)16:57, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I recently had a run in with a pretty obnoxious IP vandal and I notice he's been attacking one of your user-pages since June 2011 (removing "Small Soldiers"). I did some more digging and discovered that this character has been around since at least November 2010. I'm wondering if you can shed some light on the person. Do you know why he's doing this? He seems to be completely non-communicative and I have begun to wonder if he isn't a vandal bot. I assume you've had plenty of interaction with him, but has this interaction all been one-sided? Has he ever made a comment in talk or in an edit summary that you are aware of? -Thibbs (talk) 13:48, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I was checking the RFUB category, and there was an unblock request from a guy you warned recently. It might get a little out of hand (it already kind of has). Just thought you might be interested. The user' name starts with loser, followed by a string of numbers. 71.132.140.246 (talk) 23:38, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, don't take this as a complaint, more just curiosity. You recently edited my user page. I had inserted an infobox and apparently had inadverntently copied and pasted some uneeded code along with it. ({pp-semi-blp|small=yes}}{{pp-move-indef}) Your edit summary simply said "removing a protection template from a non-protected page" How does that string affect my page? And, how did you become aware of it? Thanks, - thewolfchild14:12, 6 May 2012 (UTC)(I will look for your reply here)[reply]
Nope. Thanks for the 'non-answer'. I guess you have jumped around editing other people's user pages so much that you have to resort to creating a standardized faq response to fend off all the users you have annoyed? I thought it was pretty clear that I didn't protect my page. As for the small line of code, you could have simply messaged me to point it out. As well, your faq states "A5: while there is no specific policy against that, I believe this is generally considered wrong...", so it is also pretty clear you had no business editing my user page. I'll thank you to leave it alone... - thewolfchild01:09, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, perhaps you should provide an "essay". It would interest me to see you explain why you didn't address the simple question I put forward to you in the first place. Then you can go on to explain why you need to put the focus on my bolding of the word my when referring to the user page that I do not own, (the one about me that I created and maintain) instead of addressing the real issues here such as why you feel it's so important to quote policies such as WP:OWN while at the same time ignoring others such as WP:CIVIL. And lastly, I'll ask again why you felt the need to edit MY user page, instead of just messaging me? You are a perfect example of what's wrong with Wikipedia. You had an opportunity for a positive exchange of co-operation and education (see [2]), but instead chose to just march it and edit with only the most minimal explanation. Even when I politely tried to ask you for more information, you simply direct me to a useless faq. Considering all the work you claim to put into the project on your user page, I am somewhat surprised at your rude and dismissive arrogance. I look forward to that essay... - thewolfchild12:01, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"...And for the essay above I'm not going to do so, if you are an "expert" in sarcasm you should know when someone is being sarcastic, even in written text. I don't need your permission to edit a page that belong to the community, even if you don't like it. Furthermore, even if I don't remove the templates, the respective bot would do so or somebody else. (This is amusing...) Obviously there is a discrepancy between your recognition and use of sarcasm. But that's not the issue here. Perhaps you need to re-read my original question, which I posted both directly and politely - no sarcasm at all. You removed a string of protection template code from my user page. I advised you that I had inadvertantly copied and pasted it along with the infobox I had added (check the Hx if you like). So, to be clear - I had no intention of trying to 'protect' my page. I have no issue with that template being removed. If I was aware of it, I would have removed it myself. I wasn't aware of it because there was no padlock icon or any other indicator showing on my page. Hence the reason I asked you "How does that string affect my page?". I then asked "...how did you become aware of it?" You failed to answer either question. Your response was just as minimal as your edit comment, which could be considered somewhat impolite. Instead of answering the actual question I asked, you chose to focus on the fact that I referred to my user page as just that, (instead of Thewolfchild's user page?), and go on to lecture me about ownership. This has nothing to do with the issue at hand. And, while I did not state you required "permission" to edit my page, I did however, point out that you seem to lack the policy to do so - by your own words. I further pointed out to you that I had no intention of trying to protect my page, (a fact you seem to continually ignore,) and I commented that perhaps you could have messaged me about the template beforehand. (you know, communicate on the issue, perhaps educate a little...) But instead, you chose to be arbitrary and belligerent. This is hardly the conduct of the admin wanna-be that you clearly are. Your user page brags about your 110 million contribs in only 2½ months. You rollback, review, autopatrol and fight vandals, (all while being a mild mannered reporter by day) yet you don't seem that well versed in concepts like WP:MYOB, WP:EQ, WP:AGF, WP:NOCLUE, WP:BITE, WP:ETC, ETC...
- Also, please note that I will not consider ESLan excuse a factor. Your user page claims that you are an "advanced" user of english. You willingly and extensively contribute to the english edition of the project. So, let's not play that 'card'...
- Now, why don't you take a moment -focus- and try answering the simple questions I originally posed. Can you do that? - thewolfchild00:09, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help with the Horse racing rename. Yep, I sure didn't know what I was doing, but it seemed no one else on the project did either. I guess diving in and screwing up stuff at least gets the problem noticed! Thanks for your patience. Montanabw(talk)02:15, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
polite?
Does this fit in with WP?
"As you have read, the rules are simple; it all depends on whether you want to play by them. As I see it there are only two options: either help me or (sorry to say it so boldly) just shut up."
People can be offended by just about anything, if they choose to be. As the text stands, it doesn't insult anyone or attack anyone, but it is rather bold, as noted by the bracketed section. Really this is up to Tbhotch, so I'll leave it to them. CMD (talk) 12:29, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you find "shut up" offensive, I find many other things offensive. As Chip said, people offends by anything. If you found it "offensive", others will not. And for the essay above I'm not going to do so, if you are an "expert" in sarcasm you should know when someone is being sarcastic, even in written text. I don't need your permission to edit a page that belong to the community, even if you don't like it. Furthermore, even if I don't remove the templates, the respective bot would do so or somebody else. If you don't like people editing a page that doesn't belong to you, create a monobook version of your page, transclude it, and ask full protection. Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Let's keep things simple, shall we? This section is simply to address your demand that people 'follow your rules or just shut up'. Do you even care that some people might not find that to be an appropriate comment for Wikipedia?
"Do you even care that some people might not find that to be an appropriate comment for Wikipedia?" Please care yourself in not adding material "that some people might find [inappropriate] for Wikipedia", like:
I AM YOUR FATHER (just ask your mom...)
This user is laughing at YOU
This user is a native speaker of Bullshit.
This user is able to contribute with a professional level of Sarcasm.
Fine... if I answer your question, will you (finally) answer mine?
I AM YOUR FATHER - is a parody.
This user is laughing at you - explain how that's offensive? (or are you just reaching?)
This user is a native speaker of Bullshit. - this is a pre-established userbox/humour template in wide usage.
This user is able to contribute with a professional level of Sarcasm - this is a pre-established userbox/humour template in wide usage (it's also true).
(umm... don't you have a userbox that says "It really makes this user wonder if he/she ever gave a fuck about you" on your page?)
I didn't have a problem with your editing. I simply asked you a question about it. The problem I have is with your attitude. The only thing circular about this is that you can't seem to answer a simple question. You instead mischaracterize my actual comments and further claim to argue against comments I never made. So, do you think you can finally put all your hostility aside and just, for once, answer a simple freakin' question? Thank you. - thewolfchild00:31, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

About the Heavy Metal Lover page, please do not trout it. I promise to add the cover art of the remix, add an image of her performing it live, improve the references, and add charts and awards if there are.
Thanks! It got overturned at the last second on the first nom--I'm excited to see it there now. If it's not too greedy, could I have it on the Main Page for the first day of Wikimania (July 12)? That would be a real treat. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯05:45, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing personal, I don't hate ya or anything. I went and goofed around on a wiki page, and it was reverted so quickly xD Your auto-anti-vandalism works fast O.O I was just being random :o I shan't be doing it again. Boredom just temporarly destroyed my sanity is all xD Well baii^^

Deaer Tbhotch,
Thanks for you interest on the Mexican Presidential Elections article. I still work on the polls section and soon I am adding the results of the polls carried out by surveying companies (in almost all of them the leading candidate is Enrique Peña). Unlike, in the independent or academic surveys the leading candidate comes out López Obrador. This contradictory reality should be registered in en.wikipedia. I am adding to this article the polls as published in the Spanish version of wikipedia. Noteworthy is the fact that in Mexico there ARE NOT official polls carried out by the election's authority, but only in the day of the election (the so called PREP tally). So, we should not use a header such as "Offical Polls".--GabEuro (talk) 04:13, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your remarks, Tbhotch,
I am one of the authors collaborating in the polls table of the Spanish article. All the content is public domain information released by the surveying organisations. I will translate the name of the parties now. I am not yet done with this work and hope not falling asleep soon.
We can follow the style used in the English version using bold case for the leading candidate.
Hope that you, and other wikipedians could help improving or correcting the grammar of this section.
--GabEuro (talk) 05:23, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody in the list of wikipedia's copyright that you show me is original author of the information contained in the Spanish article. I am also listed there.
I have not transferred a whole article, but a table, which at the end will look different that that of the Spanish version. I am more concerned about the templates because I will not have time to correct them tonight. --GabEuro (talk) 05:53, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, We are not reproducing, translating or transferring any TEXT from Spanish composed by he authors. Wikipedia copyright policies clearly refer to texts. We are using punctual information that, at previously, has been also reproduced by some of the editors/autors of the Spanish version of the article(me, among them). In fact, we are using the information released to the public by the original sources (polling companies, institutions and media) and we are crediting them in the reference list. I know that I must yet correct the templates, but I need to go to sleep now. I will do it tomorrow.
Thanks! Have a good time!
Shin Megami Tensei is one of the most important role-playing franchises both in Japan and internationally. Shin Megami Tensei 4 is the first main-franchise game in almost a decade.
The game is being announced on Famitsu, the leading Japanese video game magazine with a full two-page spread. What you are doing is continuously shooting down an article before it can even get on its own feet. You are being purposefully dismissive and are clearly not in touch with how relevant this title is. Von Karma (talk) 21:18, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you simply were to take your time and check sites such as IGN, Siliconera and literally ANY VIDEO GAME WEBSITE you will see that the hype for this game is huge. Please, come up with a better argument next time. Von Karma (talk) 21:23, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I included a source in my latest edit, one which you swiftly took down with no consideration. I was gathering more information in the process and then realized that yes, once again, you walked right in and deleted it.
PS: That was a really cute ad hominem of yours, very classy. If you have no clue about the topic you are talking about, I suggest next time you try and do some research. Von Karma (talk) 21:33, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Taking this personal now? At no point did I call you ignorant. I mentioned that doing your research and seeing that Shin Megami Tensei is one of the highest-selling role-playing franchises in the world would have enlightened you enough to realize that yes, an article is necessary. Von Karma (talk) 22:03, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I read your reply on my talk page and have removed what I think won't pass per the citing rules you have pointed me to. I do have a question, as a youtube interview was released which points directly to the issue, under what circumstances would that be allowed to be added to the page? (These rules are a little confusing to me)
