== Try reading and THINKING ==

Contributing here is time consuming enough without thoughtless tagging or worse bot driven edits. TRY READING... Good editing requires comprehension and judgement. Not knee jerk nothing edits. The article has two USGS maps on the page supporting the topic. So any sensible editor would understand that is about as iron clad a source on this topic can be. Try expanding the maps and reading them. // <b>[[User:Fabartus|Fra]]</b><font color="green">[[User talk:Fabartus|nkB]]</font> 15:14, 8 May 2016 (UTC)

Please sign your messages with four tildes ('''~~~~''') and please be as specific and concise as possible. If I reviewed your Articles for Creation submission, please read the message(s) at the draft page clearly before adding a message here. As this has happened multiple times, please ensure your message is only posted here once (not doubled).

PLEASE ADD YOUR MESSAGE AT THE BOTTOM and generally, I will reply here so please watch this page for a response. Unless it's an AfC page, where I'll usually comment there and you will get a notification for that. If I have taken time reviewing your draft, please be patient and I will get to it as I am quite busy with other tasks but am certainly willing to look at it and will not need reminding.

New users: If you want to learn the basics of Wikipedia, my page for new users here contains useful information. Information such as citing sources, submitting images and changing & deleting username. If that page hasn't answered your question(s), contact me here.

Request on 18:06:41, 29 April 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by Slothbearina

Hi Thanks for reviewing my draft of an article on the artist Moritz Götze. It was rejected - despite me providing references from a wide range of sources, as required. This time the reviewer's objection was that the artist's work needed to be in major collections. However, this was never mentioned as a prerequisite the first couple of times. I feel this is unfair. Will there be a different kind of objection every time I try to meet the requirements. Please, check the article again. Once it is up, many more people will contribute and add descriptions of the artist's notability. Thanks! Still hopeful, Slothbearina Slothbearina (talk) 18:06, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

19:05:41, 29 April 2016 review of submission by MarkDPrindle

I'm not requesting a re-review. I just have a quick question. Is the editor saying that I need more major sources (like Wall Street Journal, Forbes and TechCrunch), more sources overall (meaning that more financial/banking trades would be fine), or both? And what number of sources (major and overall) would be sufficient to show notability?

    Thank you in advance!

MarkDPringle, I've independently looked at this, and I see no clear evidence of notability. The only substantial article is the one in the Independent. I consider it however the evident product of public relations--essentially a slightly disguised press release, and everything else is an unambiguous press release, or a mere notice. Techchruch is prone to publish material on new and non notable startup companies, and is not a discriminating source--and even it it describes the firm as "Credorax, a small startup" I could judge the likelihood of your being able to find adequate sources would probably depend on the size of the bank, and I see no financial information: that's pretty basic in an article about a financial institution.
But even more important, since I note you have written on no other topic, is the question of possible conflict on interest. Please see our rules, at WP:COI, and, if they in fact do apply, make the necessary declaration. See also our Terms of Use, particularly with respect to paid contributions without disclosure. 19:13:15, 29 April 2016 review of submission by Thy12

    Hi SwisterTwister !!!

I made on the changes on the Draft for GreatApps.com which was eliminating the multiple URL's which was links to credible new sources that mentioned the company and its owner.

I am a little confused on the last remaining issue. Meaning, the links that were there before did come large media outlets which verified the company and the person (in terms of topic of conversation). This translated to different links from different sources. Thus, I am bit confused as to why then this would not be added to Wiki. I am sure you get this often, but I have seen countless items listed in Wiki that have no support whatsoever. At least for my post I did provide it.

Any guidance outside the standard template or reconsideration would be really helpful.

    Thank you !!! Thy

    Thy12 (talk) 19:13, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thy12, since SwisterTwister seems a little busy at the moment, I've made an independent review of the draft. I see no notability, and no likelihood of there being sources to show it. The TNW reference is an obvious press release, saying whatever the firm wants them to say. The Crunchbase and alexa items are just directory listings, and cannot be used to show notability.
Please see also our rules on Conflict of Interest, at WP:COI, and our Terms of Use, particularly with respect to paid contributions without disclosure As you have written on no other topic, they might possibly apply. DGG ( talk ) 19:30, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You are quite right that there are several hundred thousand articles in WP accepted in earlier years when the standards were lower that we need to either upgrade or remove. The least we can do is not add to them.

I'm sorry to hear that you are considering retiring, and sorry that I had to subject you to a deletion review this morning, on what seems to have been a bad day for you in other ways. Hello there, Thank you so much for all of your help! The sources used are from reputable news outlets including MTVNews, Billboard, Vibe Magazine and XXL Magazine. I also wanted to mention that the collaborations alone are with very well established names in the hip hop industry, I hope you reconsider the validity and find that Joey is more than worthy of an introduction through Wikipedia. His manager and I are hoping to have this taken care of quickly, as a press release is about to announce Joey's next tour, which will generate even more sources! I hope all of the citations are up to the standard, thanks again for everything your consideration!!JJBlvcklist (talk) 00:56, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Draft you declined got created anyway

Draft:Discovery and development of memantine and related compounds; uncompetitive NMDA receptor antagonists. The day after you declined it, the author, User:Tinktura1, cloned the content to Discovery and development of memantine and related compounds. That editor appears to have been a hit'n'run contributor, in keeping with a concern you raised when declining. Any thoughts about PROD vs AFD vs "meh, don't care"? When reviewing new articles

Hi SwisterTwister. When reviewing new articles, please take the time to skim them and see if you can tell if they are a copyright violation. I ask you to do this because CorenSearchBot is not operating at present, and neither is the search engine function of Earwig's tool. A good way to locate copyright violations is to perform a Google search on snippets of suspicious-looking prose. You can also ask Earwig's tool to perform a match-up for you on existing links on the page. If you need any help with this, please let me know. Thanks, — Diannaa (talk) 18:26, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Undo of Unbiased disambiguation page

    Hi,

You were a little bit vague with your reason for undoing the revision to the "unbiased" page redirect - you said "Still not enough". Does this mean that disambiguation require more meanings applied to the term? And if so how many do you think would be deemed sufficient or relevant enough before a disambiguation becomes the better tool to use?

    Thanks!

Please reconsider your judgment regarding notability. This page cites more than thirty years of independent coverage in trade press, which took considerable time to compile. It also follows the guidance received from many other wiki users in chat room conversations over the last six months. Some specific guidance on edits would be much appreciated.

    Wikienergydc (talk) 22:35, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Why

You just removed a deletion I put on an obvious vandalism. How so? Isn't the page inapporpriate? 2600:8806:204:CE00:1119:2CDA:B478:1489 (talk) 01:20, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Remember that Wikipedia is not WP:CENSORED and it's not serious vandalism since it links to a connected article. SwisterTwister talk 02:19, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, there's no CSD criterion for offensive titles. If that redirect were to be deleted, it would have to happen at WP:RFD.  Rebbing  02:35, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for explaining. I did not know it was all right on Wikipedia to have potentially offensive words link to articles. 2600:8806:204:CE00:1119:2CDA:B478:1489 (talk) 02:39, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's a case-by-case thing. In this case, Shit piss fuck cunt cocksucker motherfucker tits links to Seven dirty words, a George Carlin monologue about those words, so it makes sense to redirect there.  Rebbing  02:51, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Tigray Tigrigha people

Since you patrolled Tigray Tigrigha people, I thought I ask-what should be done with this article? At first from reading it I thought it was vandalism but there is a group called that as it turns out-not sure though if it should be a article or what though. Wgolf (talk) 04:11, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I was at mobile at the time, so I was not as easily close to a keyboard to copy and paste to confirm. Not suprising that it was though, I myself was still contemplating vandalism, SwisterTwister talk 04:48, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

From: John Novack (JTNwriter) Hi, First, thank you for your prompt review and feedback on the submission of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Inspire_%28company%29. I see some ways I can make improvements so it meets the standards.

I have reviewed numerous other company-specific articles. I have dug into a number that are Inspire competitors, direct and indirect. Several I list below seem to have less sourcing, and more "peacock" phrasing. And with all due respect to a few of the companies listed below, what they've accomplished and where they are in the marketplace isn't that notable--and if it is, it isn't clear in their articles. As for "Patient Power," there's a reference that it's the "U.S. leader in online audio and video programs for patients," and that is directly from the founder, Andrew Schorr. I bring up these 4 examples only to try to understand better exactly where and to what degree the Inspire submission still falls short. We are a leader in the fairly new niche in which we operate. Having an online community of three quarter of a million patients/caregivers is significant--far greater than HealthBoards, DailyStrength, and even PatientsLikeMe, which I think has an impressive and detailed Wikipedia page. Inspire works with most of the top 25 pharmas in the world is something few if any of the companies of our type have accomplished. Having exclusive partnerships with so many nonprofit organizations is unparalleled.

    1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HealthBoards (peacock) 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MedHelp (peacock, and NO sources) 3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DailyStrength (only 7 sources) 4. Patient Power LLC U.S. leader in online audio and video programs for patients hosted by Andrew Schorr, a medical journalist and 14-year leukemia survivor. Patient Power's reliable resources connect, educate, and empower patients to take a proactive role in their healthcare. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_health_communities

In sum, I appreciate your prior feedback, and I am committed to presenting the editors with the best possible submission for review. Thanks again.

More mainstream references will not exist for this topic. As much as it pains me, the "Stick and Ball" media doesn't care about motorcycle racing, and motorcycles and motorcyclists only make it to mainstream media when there is a death or crime involved. The sources for this are always going to be very specific to the sport. The sources are not, however, directly connected to the event or promotors and are in fact, independently written.

I have checked with three well-known editors in the motorcycle enthusiast press industry (namely Brian Catterson, Nick Ienatsch, and Paul Seredynski--Cycle World, Motorcyclist, Cycle News, Sport Rider, Edmunds, and MSN Autos among their positions) and each of them have had no major edits to the Wikipedia article.

Thank you for reviewing the article, and I'm looking forward to having it approved for publication.

Hi SwisterTwister, Since I am novice to editing the Wiki, I could add the references links to the External Links section. Could you please review and guide me before I resubmit for publishing?
    Page draft is : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Komal_Jha
I have added these references links in "External links" for meeting the 'Notability' criteria.

I am confused. Earlier various editors stated that this chloroplast migration was a noteworthy topic. Why is it not now?

The sources are unimpeachable. They are some of the top researchers in the world on the subject. How did you come to this conclusion?

    CSD A7

Please note that WP:CSD A7 is not about notability, so you should not use the term in your edit summaries when tagging. Indeed, as the policy notes, a credible claim of significance is easier to meet and demonstrate than notability. I think it would be prudent to use some other deletion criteria and/or process for some of your recent nominations. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 01:15, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Gospel of Simon: Revelation of the Sacred Mystyeries

Hello. The Gospel of Simon: Revelation of the Sacred Mysteries is a book that documents and references support for the conclusions summarized on the wiki page. My general experience with wiki is that books stand on their own so to speak. Nevertheless, I have included the references cited in the Bibliography.Christopher Carpenter (talk) 01:30, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Notability concern

Hi SwisterTwister, I write about your concern here. --Joseph (talk) 10:51, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SwisterTwister – you rejected the above draft on the grounds of the athletics notability guideline, but the article states that the subject meets #2 in the opening paragraph. Can you reverse the decision to reject and move to mainspace? Thanks. SFB 11:05, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Shangri La Studios

How is that questionable? It's not simply famous because Rick Rubin owns it. It has been around since the 70s. There is a large discography of work recorded there:https://www.discogs.com/label/279657-Shangri-La L'Homme à tête de chou (talk) 18:19, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Notifications

Please notify article creators when you tag articles for deletion. While it is acceptable in some cases not to notify, in general we should. Not notifying creates unnecessary problems as the user doesn't know why their articles are getting deleted and causes them to make similar errors again. —SpacemanSpiff 04:58, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
