WP:ARBPIA3#500/30

Hi Shrike, 10x, I reverted my last changes after I read your message. I want to add and update information about the Bulgarian position, investigation and trial. Instead of current sources (some of them misleading) I am using Bulgarian government sources (Bulgarian is my native). This changes are not related to the Arab–Israeli conflict directly and there shouldn't be any contradiction, because the government position is only one and well documented. It can not be a point of view if the original sources are used. How can be these changes applied if the page is protected and I don't have 500 edits?

In the meaning of "third-party" and "independent" sources - are the Israeli (also Arab) sources independent? :) If you have to remove them because of WP:WIS is better to remove all articles about the Arab–Israeli conflict. "Secondary or tertiary sources are needed to establish the topic's notability and to avoid novel interpretations of primary sources." :))) The secondary sources are always paid from someone, they can not be independent, they are doing exactly novel interpretations and they are doing this with a concrete purpose. I am not trying to make interpretation, I want to quote the primary sources. For me it is always better to read the original without any interpretation and to make your own conclusions. Оbviously today people must not think by themselfs. From this point of view I see that I have wrongly understood the wikipedia's idea. I know what are you thinking now... In the article "Battle of Ayta-Ash Shaab", it says that Hizbullah claims 200 Israeli KIA/WIA, and posts a link which leads to an interview with a Hezbollah fighter about this matter. In spite of it clearly being stated by the fighter and also, correctly translated, it is yet stated incorrectly on the article. He does not say "200 killed and wounded" - he says "not less than 50 casualties".

Anti-IDF politicisation of Canada Park

Hi, you edited Canada Park many years ago, and sadly a similar POV issue reared its ugly head again today (zero0000 ...I bet you never heard of that guy, and surely you've never known him to ever be involved in political POV disputes? ;-) ).

Luckily, Pluto has resolved most of the POV issues which are specific to the Modern Era (1948 & 1967) -- although you may want to add

and please do check Canada Park in a week or month to be sure zero0000/etc didn't taint Pluto's edit with a new round of one-sided argument/POV, but also, I wonder if (Jethro or) you would like to review the rationale for adding a brief Ancient History sub-section as follows...since Canada Park is mainly an Archaeology Park to preserve the (ancient and medieval/other) ruins more than an attempt to really preserve the Palestinian ruins. Thus it only seems natural that an article about an Archaeology Park should bear at least a brief mention the periods of the historic era during which the ruins of forts therein were built: it's also relevant to 1947-8 & 1967 because the fort & castle were placed there to defend strategic high ground for the same reasons that Ayalon-Canada Park became a target in 1948/67. Here are some sub-sections that I was starting when zero0000 deleted it; maybe it shows more of a "consensus" if you expand on this concept instead of me [and I'll write the same to user/Ynhockey who commented on the talk page], also I can't edit today due to the 1-revert rule, and it helps to have "eyes on" the article to be sure they don't again taint what Pluto added:

Declined speedy

I've declined the speedy at User:Aaronshavit/Allegations of Zionism and racism. WP:G4 doesn't really apply to userspace copies and we can't assume that the editor isn't planning on trying to improve the article and move it to the mainspace. Sepsis II sockpuppet investigation

Hi. Regarding your sockpuppet investigation suggesting that Erictheenquirer is a sockpuppet of Sepsis II, we're going to need more specific evidence in order to make a credible case. The mere fact that Erictheenquirer has similar interests to Sepsis II isn't enough — and the fact that these two users seem to be editing from opposite sides of the world (see the Wikichecker reports for Erictheenquirer and Sepsis II) constitutes fairly strong evidence against the two being the same person. Arbitration motion regarding Palestine-Israel articles 3

The Arbitration Committee has resolved by motion that:

Remedy 2 (General Prohibition) is modified to read as follows:

All IP editors, accounts with fewer than 500 edits, and accounts with less than 30 days tenure are prohibited from editing any page that could be reasonably construed as being related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. This prohibition is preferably enforced by the use of extended confirmed protection, but where that is not feasible, it may also be enforced by reverts, page protections, blocks, the use of pending changes, and appropriate edit filters.

The sole exceptions to this prohibition are:

1. Editors who are not eligible to be extended-confirmed may use the Talk: namespace to post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided they are not disruptive. Talk pages where disruption occurs may be managed by any of the above methods. This exception does not apply to other internal project discussions such as AfDs, WikiProjects, noticeboard discussions, etc.
2. Editors who are not eligible to be extended-confirmed may not create new articles, but administrators may exercise discretion when deciding how to enforce this remedy on article creations. Deletion of new articles by editors who do not meet the criteria is permitted but not required.

I saw your note to an admin at the AE board, and thought I'd stop by to offer a helpful note. I'm just a regular editor, and I don't work in this subject area, but I do have a lot of experience with DS and AE. That admin is correct, Discretionary sanctions thru the AE board is not available unless you can show that the ed you complain about is already "on notice" about the arb ruling. There are various ways to show they are on notice, and you can read about that at Wikipedia:Arbitration_Committee/Discretionary_sanctions#Awareness. To say that the US "pursued" Israel to do something doesn't make a lot of sense, grammatically, especially inasmuch as the Israeli delegation ultimately did do as the US requested, and made a "goodwill gesture," the "100,000 offer." The Americans asked the Israelis to do something they did not want to do, and ultimately they did it. That is the very definition of "persuasion." If you prefer to use the word "pressured," and there's evidence to justify it, I'm good with that. Tagging Iran-Israel proxy conflict

It appears you have tagged the article Iran-Israel proxy conflict as an ARBPIA article several weeks ago, despite its being under the SCW & ISIL sanctions. The SCW & ISIL sanctions were specifically created to cover aspects of the current conflicts in the Middle East, including those having to do with Israel-Hezbollah and Israel-Iran engagements on the Syrian arena, but not the generally unrelated former conflict of Israel with Arab states - see the sanctions policy from 2013 in this regard. Just wondering, since you reverted the removal of 'far-left'. if you read my comments in the NPOV section on the talk page and the other sections on whether 'far-left' on its own is correct. Even that source, though saying far-left, also says "The social causes of Antifa (short for anti-fascist or Anti-Fascist action) are easily identifiable as left-leaning." At least one source I discuss in one of the two sections about whether left is correct says left to far-left.
