FWIW, Jerry's girlfriend doesn't say that the reason they're in Vermont is because Jerry lost money on the stock, as this article says. It was already established that they were going to Vermont. She says that the reason they're staying 'here', meaning a sub-standard bed & breakfast, is because Jerry lost money on the stock. Fair use rationale for Image:Stock tip.JPG

Image:Stock tip.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

GA Review

This review is transcluded from Talk:The Stock Tip/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Hi, I will be reviewing the article. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 04:00, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Lead should be expanded to summarise the whole article. Try modelling it after the lead here: The Beginning of the End (Lost).
  • I'm not too sure about the resolution of the screenshot in the infobox. Could a smaller one or version be found?
  • George and Jerry etc. are already linked in the lead. Unlink them in the plot.
  • In the lead it says: "In it, George Costanza tells...", maybe change it to "In the episode, George..."
  • When the character is first mentioned, put the actor's name in brackets, e.g. Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus)
  • The plot is quite long and has too many short paragraphs. Please merge them and cut down on the prose, and I will look into the plot section in more depth later.
  • Could the production section be expanded. It is fine as it is, but more information would be nice.
  • In the production section, I think it would be better if this line: "This episode was recorded in front of a live studio..." was changed to " "The Stock Tip" was recorded in front of a live studio", and likewise ""The Stock Tip" contains the first reference" be changed to "The episode contains the first reference" be changed to..."
  • Try changing the Superman section to ""The Stock Tip" contains the first reference to Superman in 'Seinfeld, a recurring feature in later episodes in the series."
  • In the reception section, change "Critics do praise some elements of this episode" to "Critics praised several elements of the episode".
  • In the production section, why does it say "however"?
  • Only one review? To be a GA, the article will need two or three more.
  • Could an online reference be found for the raings?
  • This may seem picky, but could the infobox "Season 1 episodes" section be edited so that it links to "The Stock Tip", and not "The Stock Tip (Seinfeld)"?
  • Plot section needs a copyedit.

All in all, a good article. I will be back with more comments later. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 04:28, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Fail

Unfortunately, I have been forced to fail the article because no one decided to fix the comments I left. If you want to renominate the article, just fix the comments and give the plot section a copyedit. Good luck, Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 00:25, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For some reason the plot section is written by someone using "British English", doesn't seem right for an American show. It's odd to read and needs an edit.-rg —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.245.179.222 (talk) 23:03, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
