Mission statement

We believe that all students deserve to be surrounded by adults who believe students are capable of high achievement. We believe that every child deserves to be in a safe, secure, structured learning environment. We believe every child deserves to be surrounded by individuals that embrace cultural diversity, where mutual respect is paramount. We believe that every child deserves teachers who meet the needs of their students through a variety of teaching strategies. These shared values and the partnership among staff, students, parents, and community members transform our school and lead to improved student achievement, success, and personal fulfillment.[attribution needed]

Senior Academy

In mid-2008, the construction of a senior academy started. The Senior Academy opened it's door in August 2009. The Class of 2010 was the first class to graduate. The Senior Academy was developed to enhance student involvement and leadership. The Academy was also developed to foster 21st Century skills to the students. The Senior Academy has gotten state-wide press and publicity for being one of the few buildings in the country of it's kind. One of the most note bale things for public schools is that all seniors at the Brownsburg High School Senior Academy have laptops with them while in school which they take home and rent throughout the year.

With the development of the brand-new Senior Academy the School Board ordered for a reformed, more-involved student government to be formed at the high school. A committee of students and teachers called the Senior Academy Student Advisors formed the CHAIN Link Student Government. CHAIN is an acronym standing for Compassion, Honesty, Accountability, Integrity, and Now. CHAIN Link has gotten regional, state, national, and international (specifically Taiwan and South Korea) recognition for being a student government which fosters such values and is able to accomplish so much. CHAIN Link is the larges school club with about 10% of the 2200 students involved among the three branches (Executive Board, Senate, and House) and 3 Agencies (President's Council, Digital Gurus, and Spirit Committees).

The Executive Board encompasses the President and the President's Advisors. The Senate encompasses the 16 traditional class officers - 4 class officers from each class. The CHAIN Link Vice President is also the Vice President of Senate; however, the power to direct the Senate lies in the office of the Directing Officer of the Senate who is Senior Class President. The House encompasses a 5th period representative from each classroom; this is the largest-elected branch of CHAIN Link. The House is led by the Vice President of the House, the Judiciary Committee Chair, and four House Class Leaders.

The school's student body president is their "head of the student body." CHAIN Link is in its second year being active. The current president is Mark Wise.
