Please explain why you are continuously removing my edit about the article in caption. In some parts of your edit summary, you described my edit as a 'fanboy editing' and highlighted some particular words viz- 'impressive', 'astounding' etc. I have removed those words from the article and updated it. But you have deleted the 'Indian Premier League carrer' section. Kindly explain the reason behind your deletion and assist me to elaborate the aforementioned article. Delhi Capitals

Hey! Hope you're doing well! I saw this online and thought this was an interesting fact to include but wasn't sure if it was notable. As Ricky Ponting mentions in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-qT3JPae8U&t=93s), for the first time in the IPL, a team had bowled the powerplay without allowing a single boundary. Should this be included? I thought it was cool but there isn't any source other than the video that mentions this. Then again, there are plenty of statements on wiki that are backed up by Youtube videos or information within Youtube videos so just wanted to know ur opinion. Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 04:12, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Morning Raps! Personally, I don't think it's that important, but I could be wrong. You could add it to the match notes for that game, but I have a feeling it will probably get reverted. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:52, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Don't think there's anything wrong in trying. Will let you know if anything happens. Thanks! Raps19 (talk) 16:49, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

1914 Lubin vault fire

Lugnuts, thank you for your thank-you.Strudjum (talk) 17:29, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Anytime. And thank you for writing one of most interesting pages I've seen here in a long time! Note to self - store those nitrate films correctly. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:31, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again. I'm so pleased you found my new page interesting. It is so, so tragic with regard to our early film history how much we have lost to such fires and decomposition. I guess, though, given the "demonic" traits of nitrate film, we should just be thankful that we have as much as we do. Rest your busy Wiki-eyes today and be sure to pamper them with a few drops of Visine! Have a nice evening.Strudjum (talk) 18:12, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I guess they could be the same person, but unless there's something confirming that, best not conflate the two. And your draft has been accepted and pushed into the main article space. Happy days all round. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:40, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Any thoughts?

Hey, Lugnuts, thanks again for your comment the other day about my new page on the 1914 Lubin vault fire. I really worked on and refined that article, and I thought it was thorough, well-documented, and insightful. I was surprised it got only a "C" grade. I have had far less in-depth, less documented pages that got "Bs". Any thoughts as to why this Lubin piece rated that C grade? Thanks again.Strudjum (talk) 04:05, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Morning! To be honest, the whole grading system is a bit of a mystery to me, and it's not something I really get involved in. I don't know if there's a formal review process for that kind of thing, but I'd either be bold and change it, or ask who graded it a C their thoughts. Sorry I can't be of more help in this area. Hello again Lugnuts, I come to you again with another question. Is my reuse of your linked swim swam news articles for references in Andrew Jeffcoat's personals bests appropriate? Super 12 group seedings

Hi Lugnuts, obviously Bangladesh have now qualified for the Super 12's and will be in group 1, but as of only two days ago they would have been in group 2 due to the ICC changing the rules mid-competition [1]. Do you think that this should be put in the tournament article, maybe the notes, or is that going into too much detail? Thanks. CreativeNorth (talk) 16:01, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for finding this - I've updated it in the "Schedule and broadcasting" section, which had some of the original info. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:29, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, though I really want to know what was going through the board members heads when they thought it would be a good idea to change the rules in the middle of the World Cup. Anyway let's hope Scotland can pull a few more upsets in the Super 12's. CreativeNorth (talk) 16:48, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit War

Hello again Lugnuts, I seek your advice on Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Recently, multiple IP addresses all originating from West Bengal have deleted well sourced information about his 2014 Tour of England, describing the text as "superfluous" & "trivial" [sic]. I reverted the changes the first couple times, and gave them a warning. However, they have been persistent in trying to remove specifically that section (god knows why), and I do not wish to engage in an edit war. So I come to you, could you please look at the revision history & decide whether or not that section of the 2014 Tour of England should be restored? Obama gaming (talk) 22:42, 22 October 2021 (UTC) This can be ignored now, apologies for any time wasted — Preceding unsigned comment added by Obama gaming (talkcontribs) 06:52, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

New Wikipedia Guideline Proposed which you might be interested in.

Hello. I am letting editors know who participated in the recent discussions that decided whether the Killing of David Amess should be called "killing, murder, or assassination", about a new Wikipedia essay being proposed for a new guideline. The essay, Wikipedia:Assassination, explains how the common definition of "assassination" does not determine an article's title. Only reliable sources can determine whether it is murder/killing or assassination. Since you participated in those recent discussions, I wanted to drop a message to you about this new proposal. If you want to leave your opinion about it, you can do so in this discussion. Have a good day and keep up the good editing! Elijahandskip (talk) 01:42, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why was my edit reverted in the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup? It makes no sense to me to put the 2013 edition of the flag when it was changed a few months ago. Can you explain this to me? Mwiqdoh (talk) 13:31, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

They are playing under the old flag of Afghanistan, not the Tailban one. See the reports from the ICC, Cricinfo and their own cricket board. It's incorrect to use the Taliban flag. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 13:35, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your attention to this page. As I don't have an account with cricket archive I was only able to discern his middle name by repeated calls on the page before the wall went up. An advantage of slow computers? My interest concerns the men I'm certain must be his father and grandfather, which led to a different DOB and POB for our Kiwi cricketer, but don't like to contradict a such a good reference.

Grandparents: William Dind (c. 1813 – 23 January 1895) and Eliza Rebecca Dind (c. 1814 – 22 November 1893). William Dind ran a series of hotels in Hobart before moving to Sydney, where he was three years mayor of the Borough of St Leonards, ran several theatres and hotels before building Dind's Hotel at Milson's Point behind where Luna Park is now.
Parents: His only son was William Forster Dind (c. 1836 – 9 April 1907), born in Hobart, married Jane Fowler (1839 – 22 December 1885) on 19 June 1858. He was a champion oarsman and was probably as much involved with Dind's Hotel as his father, perhaps more so. Apologies for being so long-winded about it, but it may be useful and I certainly found it interesting.

They had eleven children, all born in Sydney, including Melbourne Hall Dind (6 January 1878 – 30 January 1946) who married Janet Wright Simpson (1876–1949) in October 1896, had a son Melbourne Forster Dind (1897– ) married Pamela Joan Mudge ( – ) divorced in 1902. He married again, to Jessie Mackenzie Boyle, and had a daughter Jean Adelaide Dind (1911–2002). Birth dates come from newspapers of the day, but identification of the son or daughter with that year of birth has necessarily come from one or other of the genealogy websites. Is this something you'd be interested in following up? Doug butler (talk) 21:47, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I did quite a bit of research on him a while ago but it was too confusing to be able to come up with much that was definite. He was usually referred to in the Wellington papers as "A. Dind" during his career, so he must have been known by a name starting with A, not "Melbourne". That, together with the divorces and remarriages, and the moving between Australia and New Zealand, and the son of similar name, didn't help my research, and I also found a "Mr. Dind Hall" and a "Melville Hall Dinde". In the 1935 electoral roll for Wellington he was working as a tramwayman and living at 86 Monro St with a woman called Deborah Dind, who was married (to him?). They were buried together in Wellington as husband and wife: he died 30 January 1946, she died 15 March 1961. I'll see if there's anything out of all this that I can add to his article. Sammyrice (talk) 10:56, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Sammy. Much appreciated. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:38, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've just renewed acquaintance with the excellent NZ Papers Past service and find Melbourne Hall Dind being divorced in 1919 for desertion by Jessie Dind. There's a dozen articles that mention M. H. Dind, 1918-1925 but mostly 1920 and mostly for his prowess with the bat including a 305 run partnership with G. Renner (Wellington v. Christchurch tramways). I continue searching PP. Doug butler (talk) 12:37, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Another name, if not the same person, is M. J. Dind with 60-odd occurrences, all cricket-related, from January 1920 (playing for Wellington v Otago) to October 1937, when he was a vice-president of the Midland Club. photo of J. H. Mulchings, M. Dind and W. A. Baker "a formidable Midland trio" avoids saying anything about Dind. There was a Dind playing for Midland junior "B" team in 1932. Perhaps the latest reference to the first-grade Dind is in January 1931 "Dind, who is well known to cricketers as an old Wellington representative . . . showing the younger members how it should be done . . ."
Other interesting finds Widow dies in house fire (Mrs Deborah Dind in her mid-60s on 15 March 1961); Miss Jean Dind, daughter of Mrs N. McLeod, engaged to Bruce Wylie in August 1937; there is a flying visit in March 1937 to Christchurch of Mr and Mrs D. S. Dind (perhaps David Seville Dind, another of my loose ends), otherwise no mention of our man (or men) except in cricketing context from 1930 on. As though newspapers refused to report anything on him, like the old D-notice. Doug butler (talk) 22:24, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Whether the same person or not, I think it's unsafe to give the 1st-class cricketer a middle name Hall or initial H. Only M. J. Dind played for Wellington in Plunket Shield matches (30 mentions 1918-1920). The search goes on. Doug butler (talk) 22:24, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Update: Having given it my best and got no further, I've abandoned the search. I suspect M. J. Dind is a younger brother of Melbourne Hall Dind, and if so, named Marvin, Mike, anything but Melbourne, to paraphrase Johnny Cash. Doug butler (talk) 22:28, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your work, Doug. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:41, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - I'll take a look at these. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:47, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lugnuts For SMAT Points table Why can't we use the CricketRR Tables? Or any restrictions? Kirubar (talk) 06:13, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You should be able to use them. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:42, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What we should have to add for a batter who was retired hurt? As usual * or *? Kirubar (talk) 10:13, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Always have to double-check this one myself! Retired hurt points to the second paragraph, technically they are not out, so the simple [[not out|*]] is fine. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:21, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok.Thanks (•‿•) Kirubar (talk) 10:23, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Lugnuts Halloween wishes then, now Booking Taxi for Kohli!! That much you're hating him?? Lol Kirubar (talk) 13:09, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's such as shame to see India get knocked out. Of their home tournament. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 13:14, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Lugnuts LMAO, Agreed you. Tragic, Not been upto their mark, beating black and blue these first round teams, no use. Yes, he's the captain to take onus. But in real, he wasn't solely response for what happened. So, booking some extra seats for VC, Support staff alongside makes justice ◉‿◉. Kirubar (talk) 13:22, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Kirubar: - for the venues, I've redirected the B Ground to the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium (I think they are at the same location - correct me if they are not), and done a quick stub for the F. B. Colony Ground. Will look at the other one later. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:15, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. I'll do. Thanks (•‿•) Kirubar (talk) 17:31, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament What happened to this First class tournament last year? This year we're not having one yet. Kirubar (talk) 09:12, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, just spotted that one. Probably wasn't one last year with the pandemic. Will sort this out in a bit. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:13, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incidentally, MP's NRR was better but Kerala made it to the next round on the basis of the head-to-head rule. [5] This is in the Cricbuzz article from yesterday. Though topping the table, is this rule being followed? Kirubar (talk) 08:03, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to ask you about this! I don't know what the specific rules are for the tournament, and just assumed that NRR would be used first. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:12, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bizzare!! What's the purpose of NRR, totally nullified. Kirubar (talk) 08:26, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've not got time to check all the diffs, but if you think there's an ongoing problem with edit-warring, then WP:AN3 might be your next stop. Please note though that you need to have shown you've tried to discuss this directly with the user, either on their talkpage and/or article talkpage. Might be worth dropping a note with an admin first to see what they think. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:50, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the 2017–18 English Cricket team in Australia article. But accidentally I didn't notice it was a multi format series. And also 2019 Australia in England and 2021 England in Australia has got only Ashes test matches. Thanks. (•‿•) Kirubar (talk) 09:01, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Shall we have the A team squads, as they are involved in tour matches in English Cricket team in Australia 2021–22? Or new article Australia A cricket team in England in 2019 like this? Or any consensus to not have a article for A team tours? Kirubar (talk) 09:11, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'd avoid having a stand-alone page for the A-team tours, and just include it in the main page, along with the squads for each A team. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:13, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But here as we don't have a section for main team squads, sole table for A team squads or to leave it as such? English cricket team in Australia in 2021–22 in this page? Kirubar (talk) 09:19, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just the A team squads would be fine here. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:21, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Afghan tricolor flag

Hi Lugnuts. As you may know, Afghanistan is still using the tricolor flag at all international events (sports, trade, etc). Since you are a valuable contributor to Wikipedia, can you please fix the Afghan flag in articles related to Afghan cricket, e.g. Mohammad Nabi, where the unrecognized Taliban white flag has been erroneously inserted? Felicity Campbell edit

Hi this is Felicity Gae Campbell, the information that was updated today is true and correct. Firstly i was not born in Greenacre i was born in Lismore base Hospital. I was the first Australian woman to hold an Olympic ranking of 20th in 500m as Karen Gardiner was disqualified in her event, and did not obtain a ranking . 1992 was the first year we became an official Olympic sport in Albertville and i was 17 years old.

I will be creating a Bio in which all correct information will be presented about my achievements. Please revert updated info that was previously provided as what you have is the INCORRECT INFORMATION. Please feel free to email me at missfelicitycampbell01@gmail.com. Lastly who is this? And wherebis your information coming from? Regards Felicity Campbell OLY. K1w1Azza (talk) 07:48, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for this. I've requested further input from a couple of other editors on WP. Thanks again. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:22, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Other than providing a birth certificate as proof of her place of birth how is one to verify such information?

  K1w1Azza (talk)
@K1w1Azza: - our main info here comes from a site called Olympedia (bio). This is run by, and I quote, "about two dozen trusted academics and researchers who specialize in Olympic history". If you use their feedback form to get in touch with them, they can update their site, and in turn, feed back to her article here. Thanks. Hey, 2021 T20 world cup's logo link : Logo of ICC World T20. svg is not working on Marathi wikipedia. Pls help me with this issue. As i am not aware of how to upload these logos within license criteria. Aditya tamhankar (talk), 4th November 2021, 11:23 (IST)

Hi. If it's on Wiki Commons, you should be able to use the logo there. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:43, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Both, File:ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 logo.svg is copyrighted, so isn't on Commons, it's just uploaded onto English Wikipedia using fair use criteria. If Marathi Wikipedia allows non-free images under fair use (I don't know anything about that Wikipedia, but some language Wikis only allow free images and no fair use images) then you would need to upload it on there to use. Joseph2302 (talk) 09:37, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Joseph. All this fair-use stuff is something I know very little about! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:43, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unnotable sportspeople

Hi, I encountered one of your articles, Roy Walsh (diver), during a casual search and on initial glance, I wonder why you created it? It's someone who didn't finish higher than #20 in a single Olympic games. Before I consider either a prod or afd, can you enlighten me why he passes WP:BASIC or WP:ATHLETE? The same may apply to others too. I am willing to expand these stubs if the information is there, but not if they fail basic. Is there a policy that affirms any olympic games participant is notable, irrespective of awards? Thanks. Bungle (talkcontribs) 20:23, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Hopefully WP:SPORTBASIC will help. And WP:BEFORE too. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 20:34, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It was a serious question actually. I am aware WP:SPORTBASIC "implies" notability is "likely(?)" for "major international amateur or professional competition", but I was more wondering if the article (and others you have created) is solely on the basis of this assumed notability, rather than the individuals actually being recognised? Also, the fact I am asking you directly, in the hope I can better understand this (rather than go straight to an afd), makes the WP:BEFORE point somewhat moot. I genuinely am trying to determine this, as I am keen to develop articles of historic sportspeople, but not if I am wasting my time. Thanks. Bungle (talkcontribs) 20:39, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It was a serious answer. I found his obit and and newspaper coverage pretty much straight away, and updated the article with said sources. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 20:41, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That ref certainly helps indeed. I guess I was just definitively looking for an answer as to whether participation (in this example) is a sufficient prerequisite, especially as I wouldn't want to invest time expanding some existing stubs, only to find that the individuals could never pass basic criteria. Thanks for the quick response (and action)! Bungle (talkcontribs) 20:51, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 20:52, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

94th International Film Oscar submissions

Hi, just wanted to add the fact that some countries resubmitted their films from last year, is there a good source for that? Would you be able to add it? I'll update the overall table by countries, and I think we should only count one of the submissions, since it's the number of films, not submissions, that's counted. So, for example, Bhutan will stay at 2 submitted films even though they submitted three times. Hope that makes sense; I'll add a note too, probably. Jmj713 (talk) 22:04, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take a look, thanks. There are some doubts about the reliabilty of the list of 93 from The Wrap, but I guess we'll see when AMPAS publish their list. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:19, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect reversion on Lingui, The Sacred Bond

Please correct your reversion on the page List of submissions to the 94th Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. The Wrap article[1], which you cited, included films titles based on "lists of films sent to voters in the category." The source lists the title as Lingui, The Sacred Bonds. As a fellow Lynch fan and a long-term contributor I thought you might be interested in knowing that my next project is going to be trying to get the Ronnie Rocket article featured; I've just opened a peer review for it today in the hope of identifying any issues with it and figured you'd be suitably well-versed in the field to know if anything was obviously missing or overlooked. Wiki Pages for New Women USA Players

Hi, I do see that you have created Wiki Pages for USA Women cricketers in past. Just wanted to check if that will be created for 6 new debutant for them in recent series:

1. Anika Kolan 2. Suhani Thadani 3. Gargi Bhogle 4. Moksha Chaudhary 5. Chetan Prasad 6. Lasya M

All these made their debut in the recent T20 Americas World Cup Qualifier and are part of USA W team visiting Zimbabwe for 50 over World Cup. 2601:18C:CD7F:83D0:309F:7F81:4C13:ABD3 (talk) 06:28, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear colleague,
I'd like to apologise for restoring the stub template you'd removed at Donatella but, at the time, it was still a stub and I had obviously no idea you intended to reclassify it as a start article. Thank you also for your guidance yesterday about the "|df=" parameter, reminding me it was redundant since it used the same date format as the {{use mdy dates}} template at the top. Please keep well and safe.

You don't think taking 10 wickets in an innings is worthy of putting on his page? Tough crowd. MaskedSinger (talk) 15:51, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted a section on his page specifically pertaining to him taking 10 innings in a match - just as Jim Laker has - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Laker#%22Laker's_Match%22. I think you should restore it. MaskedSinger (talk) 15:59, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's literally mentioned in the lead of his article, and somehow you managed to duplicate this (with the exact same ref) and then triplicate the text about him being the third person to do this. I'm not sure of the value of adding a one-liner that's already covered. And Laker took 19 wickets, a very different feat. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:27, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it's in the lead but mentioned no where else. For it not to appear in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajaz_Patel#International_career is weird which is why i added it there. Following this I figured it deserved its own section so added it a third time. I think it deserves its own section like Laker has and would like to do it. Your un-official ban on me editing the International Page makes it difficult sometimes to resist the urge to edit. Ankurc.17 (talk) 08:39, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. why haven't you made this article yet? There are many sources, [10] and [11]. Can I create this artcle? Thank you. Spotanus (talk) 11:04, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. So far it's literally just a vague date in the calendar. There needs to be some more solid info first, such as the dates and venues. And with the COVID situtation, esp. in South Africa, things could change. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:14, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thank you so mcuh for your response. Im new. So please help me if I want any help again! Spotanus (talk) 11:22, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indian cricket team in South Africa in 2021-22

Hi, Lugnuts. I seemed to have noticed that you undid my revision on Indian cricket team in South Africa in 2021-22. KL Rahul will be the vice-captain of the India national cricket team in ODIs now that Rohit Sharma has been announced as India's ODI captain. So, requesting you not to undo my revision. Thanks. Shooting Spirit 007 (talk) 08:59, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The source from the BCCI does not have any mention of a vice-captain for the ODI squad for this tour. So once they announce the full ODI squad, and if it has a named vice-captain, then we add it. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:00, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. Shooting Spirit 007 (talk) 11:15, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

West Indian cricket team in Pakistan in 2021-22

Hi. This message is to inform you that you have recently undone a contributing edit of mine to the West Indian cricket team in Pakistan in 2021-22 page. Please note that Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran are wicket-keepers and add that to the squad considering that you don't like others editing the page. If you need a reference, here it is: "Wicket-keeper Shai Hope to lead WI in ODIs, vice-captain wicket-keeper Pooran to lead in T20Is after Pollard injury rules him out of tour of Pakistan". WIO News. Revert

I saw the revert as his name went by Maximilian Knöll in EU Football, the name H Knöll comes up as it played three matches in the list of austria all-time appearances list in wordfootball.net playing from 1908 to 1909 on 05/03/1908 - 05/02/1909, which that says on EU Football website. National Football Teams also goes by H Knöll. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 14:31, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indian cricket team in South Africa in 2021-22 and West Indian cricket team in Pakistan in 2021-22

Indian cricket team in South Africa in 2021-22: Why do you keep undoing my edits and think of it as "reverted vandalism"? Kyle Verreyne and Ryan Rickelton are wicket-keeper batsmen! Stop undoing these edits! You don't rule Wikipedia!

West Indian cricket team in Pakistan in 2021-22: Again, same reason. You keep undoing my edits and think of it as "reverted vandalism" even though Nicholas Pooran and Shai Hope are wicket-keepers!

Reverted redirects

Hi, may I ask why you reverted the redirects at Alaçeşme, Akseki and Akşahap, Akseki? They look to me like the usual poorly-sourced Turkish gesostubs that the community has agreed should be redirected. –dlthewave 13:07, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Second dlthewave here: we had a number of very well-attended discussions about this, including one that ended with the Autopatrolled bit being removed from you. People don't want these badly-sourced micro-stubs. You've provided no explanation at all for these reverts, nor any new sourcing that might make them into viable articles. 2021 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series

Hey @Lugnuts:. Hope you are fine. Is 2021 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series going to happen or not because dates aren't announced yet? RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 04:19, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! All good here, thanks. The whole CWC League is in a state of limbo right now. I doubt this will happen as per the current schedule, but should happen at some point. However, the ICC have very little info about this right now. Infact, they had NOTHING about the matches in Namibia from last month! Watch this space, I guess. Hi again Lugnuts and I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year if you celebrate those holidays! Can you have a look back at the above article - it looks like he's misnamed in the article and the External Links, although the links actually point to Gert Hansen - I didn't want to change it myself in case it might be an alternative name. @MarnetteD: - I don't burn CDs anymore, but I certainly still buy them. To hell with this streaming nonsense! Imagine a cross between the Grinch and Leonard Cohen, and that's my kind of Christmas. Category:Irish cricketers

Hey Lugnuts. Just been doing some housekeeping at the above category and noticed it has been significantly depopulated. There are currently 518 cricketers in the category, when I believe there should be 584 583. Unless I'm going mad that is! Is there anyway to check which articles have had that category removed? If I'm not losing the plot whoever is doing it has not consulted the project. StickyWicket (talk) 22:27, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Have discovered the culprit and left a note on their talk page. StickyWicket (talk) 22:47, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@AssociateAffiliate: - glad I could help, haha! I'm guessing it's Rathfelder based on that diff. He does some really excellent work with categories, so this must be a good-faith mistake. It's hard to spot things like that, but you may find looking at the category via Web Archive helpful. You might be able to spot a missing entry from a past archive of that page at a given date, compare it with the current state, and see who's missing.
I was having the luxury of sleep when you posted this. Woke up, fully expecting England to have bee bowled out in the first session in Adelaide, only to see they are still batting. For now... Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:04, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You guessed right! I haven't come across this user before, but did acknowledge changing the cricketers to city of origin was good (i.e. People from Dublin → Cricketers from Dublin), which made re-entering Category:Irish cricketers all the more tedious! Thanks for the Wayback suggestion, couldn't last night for the life of me think of which Irish cricketers were missing them remembered David Pigot (cricketer, born 1900) had gone awol!
I was surprised this morning to see England hadn't capitulated this morning. But they are 9 down now. They're options for this tour aren't great. Worst coach. Probably the worst opening pair England have ever had. A keeper with butter fingers. StickyWicket (talk) 09:42, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Literally as you posted this, the Burnley Brian gets dismissed, and England go 2-0 down. Mercy! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:45, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There was me hoping for not out 101. Perhaps the Burnley Brian could be promoted to open? Can't do a worse job than Burns and Hameed :D StickyWicket (talk) 09:52, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think I could do a better job than Burns! Someone book on me on the next flight... Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:53, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
