Welcome to WIKISOO!
Hi Camellia, welcome to class! Contact me should you ever have any questions, and be sure to visit the course home page anytime to get oriented! Hope to see you in class on Tuesday. -Sara FB (talk) 02:33, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Glad to see you were able to join a team, Camellia! Hope to see you in class in a couple hours. -Pete (talk) 22:42, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
Signature questions
Hi Cammie! Sorry I missed this before. You asked: "Hi Sara, Sorry for my late response to your welcome. I didn't have a chance to ask about this last week, but re: signature, why is it necessary to enter a signature when doing edits? In my past edits prior to the class, I always signed in my Wikipedia account so the edits would be identified as mine. I haven't accrued that many edits so I think I can go back and insert my signature retroactively if necessary -- do you advise doing that? Same question about entering my signature when making comments on a Talk page. Hope my questions make sense. Really enjoying the webinars."
- I think I understand the question, and you've probably figured it out already, but the general practice is to insert your signature after a comment on a talk or discussion page only. That way the person you are speaking to can identify you and respond. Or, if you're asking why people would use their real name instead of just their user name, that is just a matter of personal preference. If I misunderstood please ask again on the TALK page where Pete will see it, or bring it to lab on Thursday! Thanks for your interest, Hope to see you in class shortly. -Sara FB (talk) 00:30, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
Welcome to WIKISOO
Hello and welcome to the Writing Wikipedia Articles course (#WIKISOO)! We look forward to meeting you in the first class on 25 February (Americas)/26 Feb (Asia/Australia). By now you should have received an introductory email with some details about the course. If you can't find it, there's an archived copy of the email at this link.
To attend the live session, please check our course home page for instructions and the link. We recommend logging into Blackboard Collaborate (the live class software we use) before the day of class, to be sure it's working. (More tips on the home page.)
If taking the course in self-paced mode, please come say hello on the course talk page so we know who you are! Thanks for signing up, and we'll see you Tuesday! - Pete (talk) 06:16, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Welcome back
Hi Camellia, welcome back! :) - Sara FB (talk) 02:54, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi! Just a quick reminder that the second WIKISOO class starts in about 3 hours. Even if you missed Week 1, please join us at this link for the live webinar - ideally about 15 minutes early to test your mic/speakers. You can also watch a video of last week’s class on YouTube (earlier audio problems have been corrected). Feel free to contact me on my talk page with questions anytime! - WIKISOO co-instructor Sara FB (talk) 22:08, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
WIKISOO Week 3
Hi Camellia wagashi, we look forward to seeing you in class in a few hours. We look forward to seeing you in class in a few hours. Here's the link to our Week 3 class page and to the live webinar.
PLEASE NOTE: If you're not in the USA, please double-check the class time. (If your country goes on Summer Time in the coming weeks, you will want to check again!)
This week we are going to start off with some basic review of all we've covered. So if you've been feeling behind or confused by all the details, we'll make sure we've got your questions answered before forging ahead! See you soon, -Pete (talk) 16:31, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Reference Errors on 1 September
Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the Duff Goldman page, your edit caused an unnamed parameter error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:26, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 3
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Knife Fight (TV series), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tomahawk, Lamb and Prickly pear. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:28, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
