Gaius Pomptinus (born 103 BC) was a Roman military officer. He was a legate under Marcus Licinus Crassus during the Third Servile War, a praetor in 63 BC, propraetor of Gallia Narbonensis from 62 to 59 BC, and a legate of Cicero in Cilicia from 51 to 50 BC.[1]

During his time administering Gallia Narbonensis, Pomptinus suppressed the Allobroges in their revolt against Rome. He was awarded a triumph for this success in 54 BC.[1]
