Da'Marion "Fluff" Bothwell is an American football running back for the South Alabama Jaguars.
Early life and high school
Bothwell attended Oneonta High School in Oneonta, Alabama. During Bothwell's junior season he rushed for 3,112 yards rushing and 41 touchdowns on 256 carries, while also bringing in 22 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns in the air, while also returning a punt for a touchdown. On defense, Bothwell was credited with 66 tackles, including 19 for a loss, and had five sacks.[1] Coming out of high school, Bothwell was rated as a three-star recruit, where he committed to play college football for the South Alabama Jaguars.[2][3]
College career
In Bothwell's first collegiate game in week one of the 2024 season, where he rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown, while also hauling in a catch for 28 yards versus North Texas.[4] In week three, Bothwell averaged over 20 yards a carry rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Northwestern State.[5] In week four, Bothwell rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns, as he helped the Jaguars to a win over the Appalachian State Mountaineers.[6]
