Hello! I was checking the Recent Changes log for vandalism and noticed the absolutely massive amount of grammar changes you've been doing to every instance of the [[Scripps Institution of Oceanography]] you can find. There's no way a human could be doing this as fast as you are, so I'm assuming you've automated your edits with a custom script. This isn't an official warning or anything, I'm just letting you know that usually we leave the bot stuff up to the bots. If something needs to be changed en masse, that's when authorized bot accounts make those edits. |

Additionally, the grammar changes you've been making don't actually align with proper English grammar. The change in question is you've been removing the "the" from any instance you can find of "the Scripps Institution of Oceanography". If it were spelled '''Scripp's''' or '''Scripps'''', with an apostrophe, then you would be correct in changing the grammar. However, this isn't the case. Therefore, I am politely requesting that you revert all of these automated changes. ::I've been looking through the Manual of Style and other organization articles with "Scripps", and it looks like it's a case-by-case basis for each one for some reason. Regardless, MASSIVE changes like this should not be done without community consensus. If you want to continue with this, bring it up at a noticeboard somewhere so that people are aware of the legitimacy of what you're doing.
