No Makeup

This is a well-known fact. Do we really need a citation for this? Take a look at the extras on the Romeo and Juliet DVD and you'll find it. Hell, my mom told me when I was a kid that she was envious as a teenager when she saw Hussey with no makeup in the movie, in magazines, and in TV appearances. Perhaps this is a generational thing? Bottom line, Olivia Hussey did NOT wear screen makeup during her heyday. BadMojoDE 02:01, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there needs to be a citation for this...but I've never heard it before. I would also point out that just because someone APPEARS to not be wearing makeup in a film, it doesn't mean they are NOT. Carpool Kathleen (talk) 00:28, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stop Drooling

I've never heard in my entire life someone reference Olivia Hussey as a great actress. She's famous for her looks (or, at least was at some point). Things like her "great" performances in certain roles need to be removed.

Also, the mention of her nudity in Romeo and Juliet: In Romeo and Juliet, Hussey showed off her cleavage in the famous balcony scene. She briefly appeared nude, showing her breasts, in another scene.

Completely out of context. Lots of actresses do nude scenes - it's not a particularly notable thing to include in a brief biography. If it is to be mentioned, please at least explain its relevance (her age at the time). For now, though, I'm removing it.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.75.234.252 (talkcontribs) 02:50, 14 June, 2007 (UTC)

This jealous rant was completely uncalled for. Hussey was in fact noted by many critics and movie industry personalities to have pulled off one of the best performances ever seen on film, nevermind the most cherished incarnation of Juliet. Any mention of nudity or sexually revealing imagery would have been noteworthy for the time it was released, 1968. Also consider how timeless the character of Juliet is. So it would constitute a noteworthy mention. UDStyle 09:42, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would say any commentary on the nudity would be relevant because Hussey was unable to actually go to the premiere of the movie due to it, since she was underage! 68.145.128.30 (talk) 02:41, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Husbands

The first reference, filmreference.com, lists an additional husband, Paul Ryan (married in 1978, presumably divorced during the period 1978-80). Anyone know why this bio omits him? Ccerf (talk) 21:03, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe her most recent husband listed is in reality her brother-in-la, refer to India Eisley page.≤19:22, 16 March 2015 (UTC)19:22, 16 March 2015 (UTC)~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.78.208.50 (talk)

A British actress??

She was born in Argentina and is only half British so how does she qualify as exclusively British? Doesn't seem reasonable to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.119.233.105 (talk) 23:03, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

She has no notable activities as an Argentine, had a British mother and moved to and lived in the UK from an early age. She is known as a British actress as reflected in her acting credits. That is how she should be described in the lede. Her birth location is not a part of why she is notable so that does not go in the opening sentence per WP:OPENPARA. I've changed it to "Nationality: British". There is a British citizenship, but no English citizenship. She is presumably also an Argentinian citizen, but I note the remarks above. Errantius (talk) 14:22, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

THE REMOVAL OF REQUEST FOR CITATIONS IS LONG OVERDUE

In 2010 there was a reasonable request for additional citations for verification. The citations and sources have subsequently been provided. Please remove the citation request, I tried but am not familiar with the B.S. it takes to do so. --75.17.200.3 (talk) 15:00, 26 September 2012 (UTC)Annoyed as Hell[reply]

It role

2x this article references that Olivia Hussey had a role in the TV miniseries It....but neither reference states which character she played. The It article itself states she had "a supporting role", but also fails to mention as whom. Anyone know who she was in It?ScarletRibbons (talk) 06:57, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update of "Legal issues" section needed

Wasn't the Romeo and Juliet lawsuit dismissed in May 2023? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 03:22, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
