A form of law during absence of Czechoslovakia parliament. The absence was caused by World War II (see details in History of Czechoslovakia). These decrees were issued by president Eduard_Benes. We can divide them into three parts:

1. 1940 - 1944 These decrees were issued in London exile. They were mainly related to the creation of czechoslovak exile government (including army) and it organisation.

2. 1943 - 1945 Still in London exile. Main theme was transition of control on liberated area of Czechoslovakia from Allies armies and about organisation of post-war czechoslovak government.

3.1945 - 1946 In these time were issued most controversial decrees. A new post-war government was created in Kosice and was consisted of parities of National Front (Czechoslovakia) with big influence of KSC. But new parliament still was not created, so the will of new government was implemented by decrees of president. Decrees was created by new government and Eduard_Benes was only singed them. We can find among them some very controversial mainly connected with nationalization of some industry and also with citizenship and property of German ethnic origin.
