I think he's using Wikipedia as a political soapbox. You may wanna comment on this: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#Wikipedia_is_not_a_political_soapbox] [[User:KarenAER|KarenAER]] 22:28, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Michigan edits

Hello! I've noticed your work on the Michigan "Economy" section. Good work! You seem to be doing a lot of work, so I thought I'd make a few suggestions. First, you might copy the Michigan article -- or just the Economy section -- to a subpage of your user space. For example, you could edit the page User:Thomas_Paine1776/Michigan and work on the big changes there, then copy it all back at once to the main article. This reduces the (very large) number of edits you've made to the main article. Alternately, if you do keep working on the main article, please consider using edit summaries -- type a description of the changes into the "Edit summary" box, just below the edit field in which you edit the article. Hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page. -- dcclark (talk) 22:31, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've been seeing you a lot at various Detroit buildings.

This is a good thing. Carptrash 03:25, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mind

taking a look at Wirt C. Rowland. I think that it could use your touch. Carptrash 18:09, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

consistency between city articles

I've noticed you seem interested in making city articles more consistent with one another. In that vein, take a look at my suggestion on the wikiproject cities talk page, as it may interest you.--Loodog 01:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Economy of metropolitan Detroit

I just re-organized what was already a very well sourced article, but I think it is a real eye opener to some people who have such negative views of the city and region. Accurate, fair and well written, imho, good work.--Mikerussell 22:26, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chrysler sale

(I read your comments on my talk page). It will be interesting to see what happens to Chrysler, I was listening to NPR, and other sources, and it seems like Daimler really had a prejudice against the US automaker from the start, so I wonder just who exactly is too blame in that partnership? It is kind of a running soap opera in the media lately, article after article about how bad the auto maker is, which is really unusual to me. How many M&As happen everyday,a nd big M&As, like today Nestle and Gerber, and nodofy knows about it until it happens? Your comments about the media can seem jaded until you stop and really look at alot of the reporting. Any way, it will be interesting to see what happens with Chrysler and the fall out in Detroit. --Mikerussell 00:18, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please be aware of WP:3RR since it looks like you're heading that way on Scientists opposing the mainstream scientific assessment of global warming William M. Connolley 18:29, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Detroit statute pics

Is this statute very significant in Detroit archetecture/history?

I added the parks to the Detroit Template, including a blank one for Cadillac Square, which I am not really sure about since it kind of extends right into Campus Martius. Anyway, if I get more time I will add a few more pics that are sitting on my hard drive to post in Detroit type articles- although it always amazes me how many more photos can need to be taken just in the downtown area!--Mikerussell 17:12, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is the only Daniel Chester French statue in Detroit and probably in Michigan, so it is (opinion) important . Carptrash 23:16, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again. It is an important Detroit treasure, by the sculptor of Abraham Lincoln.Thomas Paine1776 21:13, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That woulld be the seated Abe Lincoln, in the Lincoln Memorial. There are perhaps 87 other Lincoln statues around, including one in Detroit, one is Ypsilanti, one in Muskegon . . ........ Carptrash 21:18, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Detroit monument tips part 2

Thanks for the leads, I will try to get the opportnity to get some more shots in the near future. I don't mind any suggestions, and the links are good to gove me a better idea of item, plus I learn a little more baout the history. I think I will start to try to upload pictures to Wikimedia Commons first, if not simultaneously, since some of the shots are not related directly to a particuliar article. I am trying to go back and load some of my past ones to it now too, so just for your interest, you might want to check my page there in the future, which you can get to from my user page on wikipedia as there is a link at the bottom of the "i" box. Just reading over your suggestings, there is one of St. John’s Episcopal Church, but from Comerica Park and not with it, I put up anyway. [[1]] --Mikerussell 23:04, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No email address enabled?

Any chance you could enable an email address?--Isotope23 talk 15:02, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Let me give some context here as well... I probably will have the opportunity to fulfill some of your requests for photos in the next month. If you enable an email account I can let you know where I'm going and you can tell me what photos you'd like for the pages.--Isotope23 talk 17:47, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
