Rick Crom (born March 15 1957) is an American actor, singer, comedian, lyricist, and composer. He has appeared in numerous television shows and specials, Broadway and off-Broadway musicals, as well as written several off-Broadway revues. He is currently writing a musical version of Bonnie and Clyde with his Urinetown co-star, Hunter Foster.

Broadway

The Goodbye Girl with Bernadette Peters and Martin Short, Footloose (musical), and Urinetown: The Musical as Tiny Tom/Dr. Billeaux.

Off-Broadway

Li'l Abner (musical) (at Encores!), Merrily We Roll Along as Terry/Mr. Spencer, Fiorello! (at Encores!), Louisiana Purchase, Das Barbecu, and White Noise.

Newsical: The Musical

Rick is the creator of several topical musical revues including Oh Fine RSVP!, The Subject Was Neurosis, Absolutely Rude, Our Life and Times, What in the World?, and Newsical 2006: The Next Edition.

Awards

In 2005, Rick was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lyrics for Newsical. He won a MAC Award and a Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Revue for Our Life and Times, and a Nightlife Award for What In The World?.

Stand-Up and Comedy

As a comedian, he has appeared with the Chicago City Limits, and performed stand-up across the country, most frequently at New York City's Comedy Cellar. On television, he has been seen on Chappelle's Show, Caroline's Comedy Hour, and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn
