:::Exactly :)! That's why I wasn't sure why the talk page was deleted, but I see that the deleting admin would have deleted a page called "old" not "talk page archive" and that would mislead. Why did you delete Francis Cavanaugh, Lucas Cavanaugh, Francis Killian Cavanaugh
Francis Cavanaugh, Lucas Cavanaugh, Francis Killian Cavanaugh were all respected members of the North Side Gang, and gangsters in North Illinois(Chicago) and in Wisconsin. I wrote these articles from what I read out of books and on line on othere sites, if it was the fact i didn't reference them I have enough to do that, I can do a whole bibliography for you. I have books and websites on which I can reference to so please put them back on and I can edit it to make sense. These men should be reconized on your site, they were known in history. If you can not put these back can you send me the info I added so I can try in the future or go to another site? Thank You
- Hi. These articles were deleted after a debate that took place here. If you have relevant sources, add the references by all means. I can restore the articles so you can work on them. But because they were deleted in a process, I would appreciate if you could fix them soon, like in a week or so. Just so that they other editors won't complain on recreation of deleted articles. Tell me if it's ok with you and when do you want me to restore them. Regards. --Tone 17:38, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes this is fine with me I can edit them at any time and i have sources that I can use for them. Thank you and I will edit them asap. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hdxstunts1 (talk • contribs) 00:32, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Any chance you could restore the List of historical figures in Civilization IV? As I recall, there were objections on the talk page, and they were never responded to... rather, the article was just deleted. As I stated there, I believe this page is notable, and helpful, as a way to find further information on the historical figures from the game, since they all linked to their respective WP pages. Thanks! --Managerpants (talk) 14:58, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. I don't object that the list is useful the way it is. However, it is not encyclopedic, as the WP content is supposed to be. If someone wants to have a look at the specific person, it is always possible to use the search box on the left. In my opinion, the list is redundant but if you want more people to join the discussion, I will be happy to restore it and put it to AfD. Greetings. --Tone 17:48, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- That sounds good. I appreciate it! --Managerpants (talk) 18:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Advice on Quotations
Thank you for the warm welcome. I've found myself with an uncomfortable issue -- the author Humphrey Hawksley, who worked with my father, was for some reason unable to edit his page and I offered to put up his edits. He wanted his latest book to be up there, which I've done, but he also wanted "...which the Washington Post describes as “Die Hard meets 1984 . . . Fast-moving, sophisticated entertainment.” " to be up there (describing his latest book). I was wondering if this violated rules on using Wikipedia for advertising. It might be worthy to note that the Washington Post calls it "Fast-moving, sophisticated entertainment at its best..." and that particular paragraph is about the failings of the book.
I read through all the style guidelines I could find, but am still uncertain as to whether the inclusion of this quote would be appropriate, and if it isn't, why not. Thanks. Triacylglyceride (talk) 18:13, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hello. Generally, citing relevant sources does not count as advertising. But make sure that it is within the context. For example, begin with the book, when was it published and all that and add a paragraph "critical reception" at the end. It will fit there just fine. I hope this helps, otherwise, ask again. Greetings, --Tone 18:58, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Part of what was deterring me was that the rest of his books were listed without even their publication date (only one has an article to itself). It seemed to me that having a quotation on the last book in the list would draw undue attention to it. Also, are "critical reception" sections appropriate for articles on authors? I thought they generally went on book's articles. Perhaps I was unclear on where the quote was intended for.Triacylglyceride (talk) 15:59, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, if there's no book article, why not having a critical reception section on the author? But then, only a comment on one book could indeed be weird. Try to find more on different books, I suggest. --Tone 17:03, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you. The article is only a stub at the moment -- I'll suggest to him that we work to expand it, not just patch it up. You seem to keep a tidy talk page, so you should know that I'm set with this advice and you can take down this section when you want. Thanks again. Triacylglyceride (talk) 17:07, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Why did you deleted David Gerstein (artist)???
DAvid Gerstein Is a good artist, considerable popular in US and Europe. In hebrew he has hes information in wikipedia. I wanted it to be abailble also in English. Please answer me!!!! my email is taly.i2@gmail.com --Taly.i2 (talk) 10:23, 28 December 2007 (UTC)taly.i2
- Hi. Ok, I can restore it but you should work on the article. In the present state, it is unacceptable. You should use full sentences and provide external references, not only a list of exhibitions. Greetings. --Tone 10:52, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
All the info was probided by DAvid Gerstein hem self the are not, than I remember, half sentences. It is a list of exhibitions. I was working on a translation of two articles from the newspapars. Also provided by the artist. I'll love to do more research. I read he is opening a new grand sculpture in Singapour, something like 18 metters tall. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Taly.i2 (talk • contribs) 11:34, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- Good. Especially the biography needs to be written in prose. And according to the list of exhibitions, trimm it down and include just the most prominent ones. --Tone 11:37, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Why did you delete "Chandler-David family property"
The page was historically correct and I do not understand why the page was deleted. While I did not create the page I did edit a portion of it. I can attest to its accuracy since the property talked about is in fact a part of my family's history. I would like to hear your reasoning behind it's deletion, thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tchandler1 (talk • contribs) 06:09, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- The article was deleted in a prod process, the reason was that it was not sourced and an editor expressed doubts about notability. If you can address those issues, I can restore the article. Greetings. --Tone 10:46, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
What was the content that was questioned? I will address these issues if you could point out what exactly needs to be addressed. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tchandler1 (talk • contribs) 20:48, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
why delete cheenu pillai
I had added an article on cheenu pillai, who is an emerging artist from india. Articles about him have been regularly appearing on all newspapers in India ( I had quoted two references as well) I have given added an image of a painting, for which i have digital rights. How better do I justify that he is a noteable artist? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Silkfort (talk • contribs) 08:54, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hm... ok, restored. I would prefer more references that could be checked via internet though... Greetings. --Tone 10:46, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Westgarth Primary School - deletion
The Westgarth Primary School article has been deleted due to lack of notability. I've edited this page in the past, though I do not have a copy. The school has been the subject of a small book, Westgarth Memories (1992), which seems evidence of notability. The school is also frequently covered in local and state newspapers, particularly in relation to its music and performance program. It is certainly notable in its community, and the Wikipedia entry is an important way of building up a multi-author history of the school.
Additionally, it seems to me that any substantial school is worthy of a Wikipedia entry. A large number of Victorian schools large and small have Wikipedia entries. If school entries are to be deleted, there should at minimum be consistency and some guidelines. If these do not exist, I'd request you put the page back up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.175.213.91 (talk) 05:32, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, restored. There are some confusing guidelines regarding the school notability so I rather restore it straight away since the article is wikified and frperly sourced. Greetings. --Tone 14:00, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Paulo Bellinati deletion
I saw you deleted the Paulo Bellinati page. I disagree with that. Bellinati is an important guitarist and composer. A Google search for "Paulo Bellinati" (with quotes) gives 69000 entries and the German and Portuguese wikipedias have Bellinati entries too.Roffel (talk) 15:02, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough, restored. But I would aprpeciate if you could expant the article. Greetings. --Tone 16:28, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

please restore Terry Silver
terry silver is a cult character. you may not know who he is, or the significance but there is a need for a wiki page. please restore! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrterrysilver (talk • contribs) 04:01, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. I re-checked the article and basically all the content was the plot of the film regarding the character. To deserve a separate wiki article, there should be some justification why he is considered a cult character (with sources!). If you can address this concern, I will gladly restore it. Regards. --Tone 07:58, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Why did you mark this for removal? Stevenc317 (talk) 13:50, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- An editor marked it as a csd. Having another look at the present form, I think the article is fine. Regards. --Tone 15:38, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Steps to becoming an admin
You posted on my talk page and I was wondering if you could advise me a little more. I've tried to wait for an admin coach (number 26) and I've contacted Ieoth (the other user that made comments about my RfA) but I've not gotten anywhere. I don't want to burden you with "work" but I don't know another way to handle this. I'm trying to discern if another attempt at RfA would be viewed in a good light or bad light. You guys helped a lot the first time (saving me apparently considerable embarrassment) so I'm basically fishing for support before I make another stupid mistake :). Thanks for the input. Woah - Zero Hour (Stargate SG-1)
I hope you know what you're doing. I have greately expanded that article some weeks/months ago and may be too close to it, but I consider my prose and layout far from polished, and GAC has become really strict. I'd rather you give the article some more copyedit passes (I'll do so too, but I have some papers coming up soon). I previously needed to wait one month between nomination til GA review, so there is still enough time for improvement. – sgeureka t•c 17:59, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I cannot find details of any AfD regarding the above film writer and director, so I assume that it was a Speedy (December 11 2007). Could you please furnish details from memory as to exactly why he was not considered notable, given that he was nominated for an award for XX/XY, his 2002 film, and that he is certainly "talked about" (a pillar of the notability guidelines) in January 2008, especially during the lead-up to the release of his latest film, August? I find it odd also that both XX/XY and August qualify for articles quite comfortably, yet the writer and director of the former, and the director of the latter, has his article deleted.
I would like to re-create this article, and would like your assessment of whether or not this is now advisable. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 12:25, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. The article was deleted in prod process, the reason was probably because there was basically one sentence in whole article. By all means, you are welcome to re-create the article, I only suggest you start from beginning because there isn't much useful content in the deleted version. Regards. --Tone 14:10, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, yes, I found it - when the prod said "per WP:BIO", I assumed there were serious notability issues, whereas Google alone turns up some decent media discussion and blog interest, which is why I said he is talked about at the moment - there's quite an air of expectation over August - let's hope it's not all hype. I prefer to start from scratch anyway, so not to worry about the original. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 21:02, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Why did you deleted my page about Carlotta Champagne? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Didysik (talk • contribs) 08:20, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. The reason was self promotion of unknown subject, use as model resume, no unusual accomplishments (as yet) when it was deleted for the first time. If you can address this issue, you are welcome to do so. Regards. --Tone 09:32, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
LP --Tone 12:35, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Deletion of Browne Jacobson
Hi - I noticed that the article submitted for Browne Jacobson has been deleted again!! Sorry if I am getting something wrong when submitting information. I'm not sure why its listed as potential advertising - i've tried to remove all aspects of promotion of the firm to make it a suitable listing and make it more historic with some inclusion of the present situation. I tried to make it conform to many of the firms listed when you search "uk law firms". I referenced to external sites such as legal 500 and chambers. Is there anything else I can do? Or something in particular I am doing wrong!?
Thanks,

Why Delete Neil Michalares ?
Just wondering why Neil Michalares was deleted - he has been a very influential musician in the Bloomington Indiana Music scene, and many of his students often inquire about his history in music. I think having him on Wikipedia would be an excellent addition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by In3d (talk • contribs) 21:03, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Can you provide sources to prove he is influental? Google search returns few hits and the top are myspace and forums. If you can address this problem, I can restore the article. Regards. --Tone 22:12, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Internet wise I can't find much, and while myspace isn't factual it is very popular in the music promotions industry. The majority if his influence is through his private lessons, of which he teaches full time and has had hundreds of students, and continues to gain new students in the Bloomington, IN and Indianapolis, IN metro areas. As well, he has been a drummer and percussionist on CDs released by the bands in the articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by In3d (talk • contribs) 21:08, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- You see, one of the basic parts of Wikipedia is verifiability, especially when it comes to living persons. The sources don't have to be only internet, they can be newspaper coverage or things like that. Being a member of a band is a possible solution, I can restore the article and send it through afd process. If the community decides it is ok, there will be no problem in keeping it. Shall I do so? Regards. --Tone 21:27, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
I'd like for you too, in discussion maybe I can update and edit changes which aren't wikipedia worthy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by In3d (talk • contribs) 15:47, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Slovenian presidential election, 2007
The article Slovenian presidential election, 2007 you nominated as a good article has failed , see Talk:Slovenian presidential election, 2007 for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a reassessment. jackturner3 (talk) 22:53, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Deletion of Blackblack
You really shouldn't have deleted the article for Los Angeles-based rock band Blackblack. You claim that it doesn't meet criteria for notability as outlined in WP:MUSIC, but Blackblack contains a member of another notable group (Alex Greenwald of Phantom Planet). Also, they have been written about in several notable publications, including a very positive review on the website Paper Thin Walls. Therefore, you had no right to delete the page, and I request that you put it back up. -Lamarcus (talk) 05:21, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Not to mention the fact that you didn't even discuss a possible deletion in the talk page, but you just outright deleted it. Gee, you seem to be getting a lot of complaints like this. -Lamarcus (talk) 09:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- The article was deleted in prod process because an editor expressed a doubt about the notability of the subject. I am restoring it but I am putting it to afd to generate a clear consensus. Regards. --Tone 11:42, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Deletion Of Maritime Football League
I am curious how you figure official league pages, including from the Canadian Football governing body and the provincial football bodies from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick fail the reliability test? Granted, there is not a lot of information available regarding the league. The point is it is a major amateur football league in Eastern Canada and deserves to have a page written regarding it. I fail to see how the page can be deleted without a discussion about it. Please restore the page and follow the article for deletion discussion steps before arbitrarily deciding something doesn't fit. Shootmaster 44 (talk) 08:26, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- The article was deleted in the prod process. I put it to afd now to generate a consensus. Regards. --Tone 11:42, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
I do not understand the deletion of Mr. Jacoby's wikipedia page. Several tunes from Mr. Jacoby's album have been put into rotation on several jazz stations across the country. In addition, Mr. Jacoby has been interviewed on air on one of those stations. It is safe to say that the artists featured on Mr. Jacoby's album, including David Hazeltine and Brian Lynch, who recently won a Grammy, are in a high enough caliber for Mr. Jacoby's wikipedia page to remain. As per the criteria for musicians and ensembles Mr. Jacoby meets the following: Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable, has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast across a national radio or TV network and has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network. Though jazz may not be considered popular, the jazz stations that featured Mr. Jacoby are indeed major in the jazz world, and that is what counts. I sincerely hope you reconsider this pages deletion as it is a testimony to the jazz scene of today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.100.213.79 (talk) 07:34, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. The article was deleted in the prod process. An editor expressed concerns about notability of the person. Since you contest the prod, I am restoring the article and I will put it through afd. If it passes, I see no problems in keeping it. But you should certainly provide some references for the statements above, unreferenced articles are always a problem. Regards. --Tone 07:56, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Wondering why Joyce Kim was deleted?
The GigaOm Show is pretty popular, and her name is already being linked to from Om Maliks wiki page.
I appreciate your consideration on this one.
24.5.78.60 (talk) 16:30, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. The article basically had no content apart from two sentences. In two sentences, it is very hard to establish notability of the subject, add references and stick to the wiki-style. I guess there will be no problems in keeping the article if you rewrite it with some more content. Greetings. --Tone 17:59, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of Criticism of the Bhagavad Gita
Why was Criticism on Bhagavad Gita deleted? Chritianity has a section for criticism of the Bible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_the_Bible).
I am a Hindu and want to criticise aspects of Gita that appears to be added or incoherent.
User Gourang (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:GourangaUK)looks biased and not ready to critisize his own religion.
I am a scientist and believe everything should be open for criticism including my own religion. More over his request for deletion was not appropriate as I had also added a response section that aanswered criticism.
Please put the article back so that unbiased analysis of this scripture gets an oppurtunity. Do not make riligiously biased win. It was deleted within minutes which is not fair. Author should get an oppurtunity to respond.
- Hello. There's no problem with the idea of the article itself. Of course, Wikipedia tends to be objective and treat various aspects and viewpoints. However, the article was only a sketch and contained no references. When dealing with a possibly controversial topic, this should be avoided. Have a look at WP:NOR as well, you should always provide sources for your claims. So I invite you to start the article from the beginning instead of restoring the previous versin. Regards. --Tone 22:15, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Meniskus speedy delete
Hi, Firstly, I want to say THANK YOU for all the work you do here. I am brand new as a contributor, but have used the site for years as a resource, and find it to be the best source of information on the internet, largely because of the work of people like you. As far as the article on Meniskus goes, this is my first page, and I modeled it after the page on DeVotchKa, who are peers of Meniskus. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to revisit the page on meniskus and work to make it more relevant. I know that you are a musician as well, so perhaps you can give me some tips on what would make it more relevant. Larger significance of the band? I'm just not sure what gives a band relevancy. Thank you again, Eric —Preceding unsigned comment added by Webmanos (talk • contribs) 23:43, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for the compliments :-) The problem with the article is that it does not assert the notability well enough and notability is the criteria a band deserves its article. You can find a good reading for the beginning at WP:MUSIC, the criteria are listed there. Two study albums is good but you only provide one website apart from the official one as the reference. For now, I will copy the article to your userpage so you can work on it and repost it when you think it's ready. Regards. --Tone 19:15, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Deletion of Globant
Hi,
I would like to know why you deleted Globant ´s page. That company is commonly known in the IT world in Argentina, referred by lots of media and received different recognitions... It has been named as the top 5 leader in the south of the border and International Data Corporation has also mentioned the growth of the company as part of its 2008 trends. When writing the article, I followed the guidelines and used the articles of another companies as a model... Could you please let me know if we could restore it? if not, is there a chance to recover the source and point out how to improve it? Thanks --WandaWeigert (talk) 23:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. The article at the present state reads completely like an advertisment and can't stay like this. Things like Organization Culture don't fit into an encyclopedic article. And the prose should read more neutral (like Moreover, Globant has aligned its businesses specializing in different industries..., Globant's growth was reflected in its revenue and headcount, which were doubled each year and so on need to be rewritten). Because you say the company is notable in Argentina, I am going to restore it and put to afd. This will give you a week time to improve it and hopefully there will be some comments from other editors as well. Regards. --Tone 19:15, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi Tone, Thanks for restoring Globant´s article. I´ve been updating the content, trying to make it less advertising and adding more references. Do you think you could take a look at it to see if it has improved or if I still need to work on it? Thanks a lot, --WandaWeigert (talk) 16:46, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Protection of Kosovo
Hello Tone. I don't think that full protection to this article is necessary. Edit warring is not that worrisome yet. And we do need editors to make changes to this article regarding Kosovo's declaration of independence. Regards, Húsönd 15:07, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, but I will still semi-protect it. Let's see how it develops... But you are right, updates are needed. --Tone 15:10, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Main page mention of Kosovo
Would this be okay?
"Kosovo's parliament assembly has unanimously endorsed a declaration of independence from Serbia, a move without the support of Russia" - the western mention is easily findable if the reader clicks the bold link. Regards, Rudget. 16:04, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Karantanija
LP, Jalen (talk) 12:53, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Poleg tega postavlja Slovenijo v Slavonijo. Sicer nisem zgodovinsko kompetenten, ampak nesmisli so nesmisli. Slika je pa itak brez vseh podatkov in bo kot taka hitro izbrisana. Tako kot ostale slike istega uporabnika. Mimogrede, dajva raje na tej strani pisati po angleško, nenazadnje je to angleška wp. LP --Tone 13:24, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
A voice from the past
A voice from the past :-). First, how has everything been Tone? I hope everything is going well with you and yours. Now that I buttered you up, was hoping you could look over an article and give some insight. To be honest, the material is so far over my head I would not know where to begin. The article in question is Cohen Modal Cluster Haplotype, which is involved in a very contentious Afd as shown here Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cohen Modal Cluster Haplotype. Both parties, for and against, are looking to me to settle. Moreover, as I said, I do not even know what they are talking about, let alone contribute reasonably and rationally. Appreciate any and all insight you may be able to shed. In the mean time, take care. Shoessss | Chat 17:42, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. I'm doing fine... I'll have a look at the afd but probably in a day or two because I already see it's going to take some time... I am not an expert on the subject but maybe I can help anyway. Greetings. --Tone 17:19, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi again,
sorry for annoying you, but this user's edits seem seriously problematic to me. He has been removing content and adding total nonsense (see Noricum, Noric language) and changing historic data (see Karantania- this article is now in a complete mess). Could I please request your attention to a discussion here about the appropriateness of some speedy deletions you have recently made. Note that the discussion is not intended to be critcal of your actions in any way. I myself made some of the same deletions before I started to second guess myself over them. - TexasAndroid (talk) 20:45, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Some technical details:
- it is not really a common practice to use sentences like Please refer to the notation. Use footnotes instead.
- if there is a link to list of oldest nominees, there is no need to say that Dee's nomination displaces Jessica Tandy, since it is easy to read this following the link.
- no need to write that something is notable. If it is not, don't include it at all, that's the idea (for the notes section).
- you really don't have to list all the 10 other people with multiple nominations. Make a link to the article about that or, if there is no article, create one.
I hope you find this useful. Greetings. --Tone 23:36, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the useful tips! Seems like much of this is stylistic preference, however, and not really "right or wrong" per se. Personally, I think that the article was better with all of the notable nomination information all clumped together in one comprehensive (i.e., easy-to-read, easy-to-find) section. Now, we have the same exact information --- just that it is intermittently interspersed throughout the entire article. What sense is that? How does that help the reader, really? Sometimes, unfortunately, people (translation, xxx) don't see the forest for the trees. And they insist on mechanically sticking with some published "rule" --- just for the sake of sticking to a rule --- regardless of its effect or disfunction. Such is life. Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 00:05, 21 February 2008 (UTC))
Carantania
Now that the unsourced images have been removed, I also removed some of the patent inaccuracies (such as the dating of Carantania prior to 660) and renewed a part of content that was removed by user Yankee mb. The same user also added a large part of content that speaks of the Ducal Coronation, which is unsourced and looks to me very much as if it were copied from a book: [2]. I have left that for the time being. Regards, Jalen (talk) 08:37, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Unless im making a major mistake here, this article was about a Not for profit organisation which seemed notable enough to give the origional creator at least some time to source it. Are you sure this had to be a speedy? Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 17:13, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it seemed pretty much as blatant advertizing to me. Written in first person and seems as copied from somewhere. Needs to be written from scratch again, IMO. I can restore it but it won't help much. --Tone 17:19, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
BIBSYS
Hi I don't understand the deletion (Special:Log/delete&page=BIBSYS) of BIBSYS. Not very well written, but speedy deletion? This is the provider of library information systems for all universities and National_Library_of_Norway in Norway About BIBSYS [3] (Norwegian). I found this on the website (www.nb.no) for National_Library_of_Norway (not much information in english) "The library does not carry out extended genealogical research. Acquisitions catalogued from 1990 are listed in the national on-line catalogue BIBSYS. "[4] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nsaa (talk • contribs) 23:18, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

We are currently conducting a reconfirmation drive to give coaches the opportunity to update their information and capacity to participate in the project. Please visit Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Status to update your status and move your entry to the Active list. Admin coaching match
Hi Tone, I've just received a message to say that I've been matched with you for Admin coaching, so this is a quick message to introduce myself... and say thank you as well!
As the text I provided in my request states, I've been editing WP for three years now. Most of the articles I create and edit are related to football, but I edit pretty much anything where an edit needs making, or if I can expand an article.
As well as creating and editing articles, I've been taking an increasing interest in the community aspect, such as patrolling RC, getting involved in AfD, and involvement in WikiProjects. I'd like some coaching to broaden my knowledge of the different areas of WP so that I can be more effective as a user, and potentially progress onto adminship if suitable. The tools I use at the moment are TWINKLE, POPUPS and I've also been enabled to use the rollback feature.
Look forward to hearing from you! robwingfield «T•C» 08:50, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Re deletion of user ady-x categories
Were they deleted for WP:CRYSTAL issues or what? Your deletion summary didn't provide any enlightenment. Octane [improve me] 26.02.08 1608 (UTC)
- I suppose you mean the language categories. They got deleted because they were empty and there is one of the speedy criteria for those. However, the deletion was already discussed, maybe it would be better to leave them as they fill in the system. The csd criteria could be adjusted a bit. I don't think we've got anywhere from that point... This will have to be addressed once more but in a more centralized discussion with more people participating. Greetings. --Tone 18:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Carantania- 3
The introductory paragraph currently states that Carantania was established in the 6th century. This is factually wrong and should be corrected, however, to avoid edit-warring with user Marcos G Tusar I will for some time refrain from editing that article (within the past week, he has reverted my correction three times). I left a note on the talk page [5]. The History section in the article Slovenia [6] gives the same wrong number. Also, any identification of Carantania as a Slovenian principality is untenable from the academic point of view. Regards, Jalen (talk) 09:37, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Cohen Modal Cluster Haplotype
Hello. I see the debate is closed now. I have read the article and the discussion and I found myself pretty much incompetent to give a wise suggestion so I rather said nothing. Looking at the result of afd, it seems reasonable to me. Sorry I was not much of a help, maybe next time. Greetings. --Tone 20:13, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Comment -Well hello Mr. Tone. First, sorry it took a day or two to get back to you. But real life keeps getting in the way! Thank you very much for looking into the article for me. Now, I do not feel so bad! If it was tad over your head, you can only imagine my predicament! However, all’s well that ends well. Both editors are unhappy with the finial decision, so I feel that the right one was made. Always believed if one individual comes out smiling after an opinion was voiced, it was probably the wrong outcome. In the mean time, you take care, and of course, you know, that you got off easy this time! The next time, I will get you involved at the very beginning and let you demonstrate your diplomatic skills and sit back in awe, and just take notes :-) . Shoessss | Chat 04:15, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

coat of arms tag
Hey there, I'd like to add the coat of arms to the Vrhnika article, but I don't know how to classify it. I'm pretty sure coats of arms aren't copyrighted in Slovenia. Particularly eye-catching among other such signs is the [18] Washington state seal, which is in the public domain "under the terms of Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 105 of the US Code". Deletion of Taddle Creek (magazine)
I object strongly to your deletion of Taddle Creek (magazine). According to the deletion log, you decided to delete it because it's a "non-notable local magazine." This is a provably false assertion. Taddle Creek is not "local" -- it is a nationally distributed magazine in Canada. And it is not "non-notable." While you, personally, may not have heard of the magazine in Ljubljana, in Canada it has been nominated for several important national prizes -- a fact that had been noted in the body of the article.
I respectfully request that you restore the article.

Hi Tone,
Why did you delete the page called "Institutions offering Mechatronics Engineering"? I am a Mechatronics Engineering Student and I had added several universities on the list. I found the list EXTREMELY useful to find universities and colleges offering this program. I used it as a database from which I conducted my searches that have let me to the university I am presently studying at. I am sad to see the list has been deleted specially because it was growing rapidly and because Mechatronics is a new subject and many people do not know how to go about looking for information about it.
Could you please restore the list? It would be a massive favor to us all.. Thank you very much! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.240.27.15 (talk) 19:58, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Recreation of a deleted article
Someone recreated an article you deleted last fall: Antagarich. I just thought you should know since it still lacks the real world info you cited as the reason for deletion. --Mika1h (talk) 23:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I'd like to request that the Antagarich article be returned. The article is focused on a location which spans ten games in an already-popular gaming series and is more than notable in that context, at least.
Lack of real-world notability was cited - if you can direct me to some means of improving on the previous article and satisfying this requirement, I'll gladly try to work on that. anonymous deletion DENIED!
a while back, you tried to delete my page on the anonymous group for "no informative content". the thing is, it did have content. the only thing that was "wrong" or "uninformative" about my page was how i presented the info. the reason that i did this was to give the reader a sence of how anonymous is styled, if you will. the reason i didnt write the page like a grad student with to much time on his hands is that thats not how anonymous makes you feel. anonymous is not intulectual. dont get me wrong the guys a friken geniuses! but its just not how they would want there infomation to be delt with. i tried to give the reader a sence of how anonymous works, not just a hard print of there dictionary deffinition; something you just cant do with a pen and paper.
oh and by the way, every one i know decided to band together and fix the page because they found it important information (imagine that) so that people like you who go aroud and just try to get everything deleted, will just leave the encyclopedia alone. no offence or anythging, but just leave our damn articles alone! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nimcoy27 (talk • contribs) 22:28, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

--Tone 10:56, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Can I get a comment from your side?
Hi. How is it going? Could I ask you for a comment since you can be neutral here. I am having some hard times with User:Gooddays. He is massively tagging article with unref and cleanup templates, although a great part of the articles are in fact referenced and do not require cleanup, at least not an obvious one. Any attempts to clear this out have been met with an reaction that I consider a rude provocation (or with blanking user talk). Can you have a look? Thanks. --Tone 13:20, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Good, and you guy? I think you have a well-intentioned new editor here. I did look over the articles he/she was tagging, and your right. Just a tad over the top there :-). I left a note on the user’s page. Hope it helps. ShoesssS Talk 14:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi there! I just thought I'd make a clarification on the talk page archiving thing. Users are allowed to remove any comments from their talk page. If a user removes a comment, it's best to just take it as acknowledgement of the post. Seraphim♥ Whipp 17:07, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, acknowledged. After all, it's all in the history that should not get deleted. --Tone 17:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly :)! That's why I wasn't sure why the talk page was deleted, but I see that the deleting admin would have deleted a page called "old" not "talk page archive" and that would mislead. Seraphim♥ Whipp 17:12, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
