Vietnam War Memorial

Cool. :) I was thinking of working on the Big Orange next, but it would be neat to do something on the Torrens Parade Ground. As I recall there are some interesting facets to its history. I'm not sure if the Vietnam War Memorial would be better served as part of that article, its own article, or as part of a List of War Memorials in South Australa. (As an aside, I tried to grab photos of it a while ago, but he balck marble and backlighting defeated me). :) - Bilby (talk) 11:33, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

• That's cool - I'm not sure if it is strictly against the guidelines, but with existing keep votes for the malls it would prove problematic, and may result in a DRV. Normally if there is no chance that something should be kept the AfD is closed early instead (such as non-notable bands that go to AfD rather than being tagged for CSD). :) - Bilby (talk) 08:35, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Thanks. And you know... I would not mind the mall articles if they could actually show some notability in their sources, rather than sourcing their own corporate website. And with the few "keeps" making notability assertion... claiming that having a mention (however trivial) establishes notability... not one has actually been able (or bothered) to add a source showing notability (rather telling). I have not myself been idle in this... as I have done my searches and cross searches... I'd like to be proven wrong... but an advert telling how a realtor has his offices in the mall.. or a blurb bragging about air-conditioned comfort... just don't do it. Sigh. Again, thanks. That's a great idea, but given that there were serious copyright violations in the other articles, it might just be easier to recreate with new text in the list. It is well worth doing, though, and I'll see if I can help. Thanks for the suggestion. :) - Bilby (talk) 03:10, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
