I'm having trouble even parsing this statement. One of the first computer hackers? What is even meant by this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.7.23.2 (talk) 23:28, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Other than breathing for the last twenty-five years while gainfully employed by Microsoft, what has this guy done in the last 8 years since becoming the Grand Poobah of NTFS? Of course, if I managed to get MY name in every single EXE file on the face of the earth, I might not really feel like I have to do much. dreddnott 16:44, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Architect and dev manager. Hmm... actually do... people management? The file system group grew from five to 18 people during this time. Significant contribution to many file-system projects: Perf improvements, TxF, KTM, CLFS, FltMgr... MZ

"Mark's last child graduated high school on June 5 and retired shortly thereafter." I think it was probably Mark who retired shortly thereafter, so this should read "Mark's last child graduated high school on June 5, and Mark retired shortly thereafter." Yes it is picky!

I wouldn't call it "picky". It's basically just an outright linguistical error there. I initially double-taked reading that sentence, not entirely sure if it wasn't an attempt at irony (which would be wholly inappropriate for an encyclopaedia to be cracking jokes, anyway, even if I did find it quite amusing). Implying that, despite having worked all this time to set an example to his children, it completely failed because his children have all "retired" to live off the family wealth, rather than work, shortly after he did. At least, the way this paragraph is currently written, this is effectively what it's saying. I think you should go ahead, "be bold" and make the change you've suggested.
