William Wagstaff, commonly known as Will Wagstaff, is a leading ornithologist and naturalist in the Isles of Scilly, and also an author. His popular guided wildlife walks have made him both a well-known and popular figure in the islands.[1] He has had an active role in conservation work around the islands for more than 20 years and is currently Honorary President and Chairman of the Isles of Scilly Bird Group[2][3] and regularly presents slideshows and leads other events on the islands. Wagstaff wrote 'Falkland Islands: The Bradt Travel Guide' in 2001[4]. He is part of the Travelling Naturalist group[5] and is a Tour Leader for Island Holidays[6].

TV & Radio Personality

Wagstaff makes regular appearances on Radio Scilly, including two weekly shows, 'Walk of the Week' and 'Bird Report', of which he is the presenter. He also appeared on the BBC2 series Three Men In A Boat[7].
