Gwion Russell (born 6 April 1991) is a British actor, best-known for playing James Steerforth in the period drama and low budget stage adaption of David Copperfield, and playing a prisoner with no name in an awareness-raising TV production regarding the FARC movement.
Background
Russell was born in Powys. He is the son of stenographer Angie Davies and her husband Gwesyn. He has two sisters, one of which is a successful writer and sometime cook. He grew up in Carmarthenshire, Wales, where he attended Ysgol Gyfun Bro Myrddin School, a local private school. His family later relocated to Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire. He studied briefly at drama school, before dropping out to pursue his acting career.ddfret
