Congrats indeed! And thanks for the encouraging comments re. my signature-editing. I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't check the Village Pump first, but I'm not yet overly familiar with the internals of wikipedia. (As you can see, my sig is still broken, despite my best efforts.) btw, sorry for mistyping your username in one of my edit comments; it's a pity these things can't be fixed. —JEREMY 05:16, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Salaam, Great to know that you embraced Islam by learning it yourself. There are a lot of things that must be told to you but they will go afterwards. Can you tell me what things you find to make sense? I am impressed however and still confused why so scholarly people fail to understand the beauty of it. Help

If you get the chance to take a look at the article on Islamofascism-- resurrected by some reactionary trolls through a parliamentary trick of some kind, I'd appreciate it.

Option A is for the article to be deleted or merged, but I'm not sure how to do that at this stage. Option B is for the page to reflect a very brief summary of the usage of the word, as opposed to, say, photographs of Nazis and Muslims palling around during WWII, which is what some people favor. BrandonYusufToropov 21:34, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I know, I have seen the edit warring. However not unusual for that particular group of editors.--a.n.o.n.y.m t 21:51, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please vote to merge and redirect Islamofascism to Neofascism and religion... ... which is where it belongs. Vote here: [1] BrandonYusufToropov 14:59, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed in combating vandalism

Good day,

I am an editor of the Emma Watson page, and we are having some big problems. The page is literally vandalized almost daily, and it is beginning to become a big problem. I took the iniative to post a warning to potentional vandals warning them that they could be banned if they did vandalize the page, but it did not seem to work, and it was removed because some felt it wasn't fair to single this page out as something that could ban users. I am at my wit's end with this, and we could really use your guidance about this issue. Thank you for your time, and congratulations on your 5000th edit! --D-Day 15:53, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Kashmir

Hello Anon. Ahm... the article mentions Indian claims but does not mention Pakistani claims. Pakistan does claim Indian Kashmir besides the region already under its control as a part of its territory; thts basically the entire Kashmir excluding Aksai Chin and Trans-Karakoram Range. Thanks for voting to support my RfA. I wasn't expecting an unopposed promotion (I thought I'd hit some die-hard edit-counters at least) and I'm touched by the trust shown in me. I'll try my best to continue to earn that trust. But first, I'll have to work on not sounding like a politician; that last sentence was awful. Oh well. Regarding Pakistan history section

The edited version explains things clearly. Such as the difference between the Sassanians and Safavids which is substantial as well as Hindu Rajas and the predominance of buddhism in the region. These all correspond to the History of Pakistan article as well as the other version makes no sense and the Kushans Tocharian sentence doesn't even read correctly. The Kushans are a type of Tocharians and it doesn't hurt to link them as such. Whatever your beef regarding the editing, discuss first as I don't think the other version makes as much sense. Tombseye 22:49, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh so you were the anon IP inserting information. Well my only beef was that much of it was redundant and repeated things about Buddhism which was simply adding to large size of the paragraph, which you were already arguing was too long. Also I changed the dates into a form that was the same in the entire paragraph. Otherwise I am okay with the paragraph. But please log in next time. Thanks. --a.n.o.n.y.m t 04:28, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My failed RFA :)

Dear Anonymous editor,

Examples section

My only concern is the examples section which I don't think is necessary. Events like that are already mentioned on several wikipedia articles about terrorism.

Well, it seems that historically, most military jihads have been wars, not terrorist campaigns. But I will continue on Talk:Jihad. -- Beland 11:30, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Islamofascism move

I'm not sure what should be done here - the two sides seem pretty evenly split. Maybe a wider RfC would be in order. Jayjg (talk) 18:44, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

A consensus has not been reached. So no move. An rfc might work later but we will have to wait until this vote is closed. --a.n.o.n.y.m t 19:21, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The problem with your statement is that the article was originally at Islamofascism, and was apparently moved to Islamofascism (term) without consensus, and the title itself does not follow Wikipedia convention. Jayjg (talk) 18:43, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Okay I see. However other terms also have (term) beside them. --a.n.o.n.y.m t 19:58, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Which ones? Jayjg (talk) 22:33, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
An example - American_terrorism_(term) --a.n.o.n.y.m t 22:58, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hardly a good example, since BrandonYusufToropov only moved the article to that name on December 2, in order to support the use of the title Islamofascism (term). Do you have a real example? Jayjg (talk) 21:53, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
An example is an example. If I show you another one you might say the same thing. --a.n.o.n.y.m t 22:24, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
