Six degrees

Sorry, can't say I knew him, although the name does sound familiar. I got my M.Eng. at UofL, not M.Sc. It may sound like a silly distinction, but at Speed 99% of people either come in as undergrads and get their B.Sc. and M.Eng. or come in as grads and get their M.Sc. and Ph.D. I presume that if he went to Transy and did his M.Sc. at UofL then he is probably aiming for a Ph.D. Because of the degree requirements overlapping and the limited number of classes, it's likely that we did have some of the requirements together, but I skipped most of my classes for my last couple of years :(. I know a couple of people that went to Transy, but one entered in 1998 and one entered in 1999, so I guess you wouldn't know them: Eleanor Braun and Erin Grace. Anyway, if you're still in Kentucky, I feel sorry for you — I'm in Canada and I think we've got less snow right now! :) CryptoDerk 17:11, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Yes, I think he got his M.Sc. He's not starting his Ph.D., however; he's getting a second masters in EE instead. Actually, I'm not at all in Kentucky — San Diego now, in fact, so no snow at all, 'though it did make it down to the mid-forties last night. ;-) Animated Cascade talk 13:48, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)

User within category

Please remove Category:Harry Potter characters from your user page. It is not appropriate that a user should appear within that category. Thanks. —Lowellian (talk) 08:10, Jan 10, 2005 (UTC)

Mighty sorry. The colon-before-the-category thing trips me up every time, and I never catch it. Thanks for letting me know. Animated Cascade talk 20:05, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Mediation

Hi Dan100. Thanks for coming around. :) I think that, through the power of positive collaboration, the community here has reached a consensus on the controversy at hand. Thanks for checking in with us! --Animated Cascade talk 20:36, 27 December 2005 (UTC) (CC'ed to your talk page)[reply]

Glad it's been sorted out, and thanks for letting me know! Dan100 (Talk) 18:56, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Pharmacology is currently organizing a new Collaboration of the Week program, designed to bring drug and medication related articles up to featured status. We're currently soliciting nominations and/or voting on nominations for the first WP:RxCOTW, to begin on September 5, 2007. Please stop by the Pharmacology Collaboration of the Week page to participate! Thanks! Dr. Cash 17:45, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aspirin has been selected as this week's Pharmacology Collaboration of the Week! Please help us bring this article up to featured standards during the week. The goal is to nominate this at WP:FAC on September 10, 2007.

Also, please visitWP:RxCOTW to support other articles for the next COTW. Articles that have been nominated thus far include Doxorubicin, Paracetamol (in the lead with 4 support votes so far), Muscle relaxant, Ethanol, and Bufotenin.

In other news:

  • The Wikipedia:WikiProject Pharmacology main page has been updated and overhauled, to make it easier to find things, as well as to highlight other goals and announcements for the project.
  • Fvasconcellos notes that discussion is ongoing regarding the current wording of MEDMOS on including dosage information in drug articles. All input is welcome.

Dr. Cash 00:42, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a brief update in some of the recent developments of WikiProject Pharmacology!

  • Aspirin has just completed its two week run as the first Collaboration of the Week! Many thanks to those editors that contributed; the article got a lot of good work accomplished, and in particular, much work was done in fixing up the history section. It's still not quite "done" yet (is a wikipedia article really ever done?), but after two weeks I think it's more important to push onwards with the development of the new collaboration of the week program. I will be fixing up Aspirin in the next few days and possibly nominating it for either GA or FA status.
  • Please remember that Wikipedia is not a forum for discussing or dispensing medical advice amongst users. Specifically, talk pages of articles should only be used to discuss improving the actual article in question. To help alleviate this situation, the template {{talkheader}} may be added to the top of talk pages, reminding users of the purpose of such pages. Additionally, unsigned comments and comments by anonymous users that are inappropriate may be removed from talk pages without being considered vandalism.

You are receiving this message because you are listed as one of the participants of WikiProject Pharmacology.

Here are a few updates in the realm of WikiProject Pharmacology:

  • The Pharmacology Collaboration of the Week has been changed to Collaboration of the Month, based on current participation levels. It is also more likely that articles collaborated on for one month are more likely to achieve featured quality than articles worked on for only a week or two.

Lacosamide

Thank you for creating the article. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 20:15, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for changing that. The claim wasn't libelous, it came from personal contact with them, but you're right, it doesn't belong here as written. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.173.188 (talk) 03:27, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First off, I apologize for the spam. You are receiving this message because you have indicated that you are in Southern California or interested in Southern California topics (either via category or WikiProject).

I would like to invite you to the Los Angeles edition of Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art, a photography scavenger hunt to be held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. All photos are intended for use in Wikipedia articles or on Wikimedia Commons. There will be a prize available for the person who gets the most photos on the list.

If you don't like art, why not come just to meet your fellow Wikipedians. Apparently, we haven't had a meetup in this area since June 2006!

If you are interested in attending, please add your name to Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art#Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Please make a note if you are traveling to the area (train or plane) and need transportation, which can probably be arranged via carpool, but we need time to coordinate. Lodging is as of right now out of scope, but we could discuss that if enough people are interested.

Thank you and I hope to see you there! howcheng {chat} 23:30, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
