I did not include the statement about sex with children. Someone else this. The only thing I pointed out is that Khomeini's writings specify non-Muslims to be [[najis]] and I have given enough evidence for this. Kurdish in Iran is banned
- Firsly please sign your comments. Secondly I did not say Kurds in Iran are not allowed to speak Kurdish, but I say Kurdish language is banned from teaching in schools. Kurds are not allowed use their mother tongue in schools. Its banned. ممنوعه. The only language allowed in Iran is Farsi, NOT Azer, NOT Kurdish. Kurds and Azeris must use ONLY Farsi (persian) in schools. It does not matter that there are some newspaper or tv who even their contents are strongly controlled and censored by the Iranian goverment, but as a fact the important point is this that kurdish is not allowed. it is banned. Is it hard to understaned?!!
Mesopotamia 18:04, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Please reverted what you added to the article (Being an Iranian people) because it is disputed. there are more neutral sources who disagree with this, explained in the history and roots section. let me talk to u in Farsi ..
Kurds do not belong to me
there are several milions Kurds in Iran they are not allowed to use Kurdish only farsi only only only only farsi is in use.
I was in hurry and after puting that went out. Now read this: Iran's religious and ethnic minorities remained subject to discrimination and persecution. Representatives of the predominantly Sunni Muslim Kurdish minority protested the appointment of a new governor of Kurdistan province from the Shi'a majority. The authorities overlooked Sunni candidates for the post put forward by Kurdish parliamentarians. The lack of public school education in Kurdish language remained a perennial source of Kurdish frustration Mesopotamia 18:34, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Kurdish flag in Iran
Hi 69.196.139.250,
I'd just like to paste this comment to your talk page:
- Mesopotamia, however, is totally incorrect when claiming that Kurdish language is banned in Iran. Kurds in Iran (like the Lurs) are an extremely proud people who are very grounded in their culture and heritage, and they are most definitely not "Persianized." It's true that the regime oppresses the Kurds, like they have done with tribal groups, but they have never been able to ban their languages or prevent them from speaking their languages. SouthernComfort 19:07, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
--Khoikhoi 19:32, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Firstly Yes I am Kurdish. Secondly. I have not focused on Iran (?!). Thirdly whether Turkey had done terrible things or not does no mean t that Iran is innocent, I do not prefer compare them maybe Iran has done worse. and last I like all of Iranians. Diyako Talk + 22:53, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry I do not beleive one word that you user:Diyako:Diyako say. Iran has done worst things?? Right that is why Kurds acroos the world say Turkey and Israel are the worst entities in the Middle East. Do you remember when all the Kurds attacked the Israeli embassies? They acused Israel of selling Kurds out to Turks. Look it up. A lot of misinformation comes out of Israel and by the way Jews are not an ethnc group or race they are a faith. So stop putting Jews as relatives of Kurds.

Kurdistan edits
(Copied from User talk:Peruvianllama): Certain individuals want their POVs to overlap the truth. The delete the fact that the Kurds are an Iranian ethnic group and wrote other untrue things in the flag section about Iran. Can you tell me how this issue can be addressed? This article gets vandalized a lot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.196.139.250 (talk • contribs) 01:15, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
- I assume that you're referring to this ? I understand that Kurdistan and many of the related articles see alot very POV-slanted edits, so I'm glad to see you're interested in reaching a consensus. My best advice is to continue doing what you're already in the middle of doing - trying to reach an agreement on what content is appropriate by discussing the situation on the appropriate talk pages. In the future when you're making an edit (particularly a large edit, to a contentious article), be sure to provide a legitimate reason in your edit summary. Doing so can help avoid confusion, with vandalism notices and the like.
- If you have any other questions, or if I can help you with anything else, don't hesitate to get in touch with me on my talk page. Cheers! --PeruvianLlama(spit) 07:57, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'll have a look at the talk page and edit history, but I can't promise anything. It seems that anything related to Kurdistan, geographically, ethnically, whatever, is always controversial, and always has people edit warring over somethingorother. And seeing as I have comparatively little knowledge of the people or the area, I'm not sure how much help I can be. But I'll have a look, anyway. As a final, and important note, please sign your posts on talk pages by adding four tildes (like this: ~~~~) at the end of each message. The Wikipedia software will automatically turn this into a timestamped signature, and will make any conversations much easier to follow. By not signing your posts, you make talk pages like Talk:Kurdistan much harder to follow and understand for outsiders to the conflict, like myself. Thanks. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 20:26, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
- After a brief inspection of the talk page, I think this is excellent advice. Nothing is going to crash and burn if this article stays in an imperfect state for another day or two, so there's no need to be in such a hurry to edit its contents. Use the talk page - discuss the changes, try to achieve consensus, and offer a compromise. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 20:39, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

- I have problems with reacist comments and one-sided edits bu user:Acuman. I am not even Persian, but what he says about Persians along with other groups such as Kurds and Lors offends me and is uncalled for and untrue. Here is an example of what user:Acuman has written to other editors in discussion: "Long live Iran! Now go after your business. "Dead-worshipper." "You illiterate mental." And your Cyrus the Great was nothing more than an illiterate murderer. At least he had a good excuse. But you...??? And the mercenary is your dad.
I ask you is this right? This is not only a personal attack attack it is an aatack on a whole ethnic group. 69.196.139.250 16:45, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

I know. That's why I changed the introduction at Norouz to make it acceptable to all groups, not just the Iranians. I got it from here. Perhaps now we can merge the two articles that he created so we can have just one main article about the holiday.
Let me know what you think of the intro and if it is a good idea to merge the articles. Thanks. --Khoikhoi 21:16, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- You said:
- There is only one Noruz which is celebrated by all Iranian people and people of Iranian culture.
- There are many countries in Central Asia that celebrate it. Therefore I've changed the intro again. --Khoikhoi 21:54, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Can you repeat what you want me to do to the intro? I don't think I understood that. --Khoikhoi 22:10, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Make sure it is clearly identified as Noruz. It is not similar to Noruz, it is Noruz. I don't even see why there is a need to make a seperate article. In fact all the Central Asian states, Iran, Turkey, the Republic of Azerbijan, and Iraq (representing Kurdistan) filed to have it recognized by UNISCO this year under the name NORUZ, therefore it is one and the same.
- here is the connection. All these countries regestered it together as one celebration under the name of Nowruz.
- Thanks for the link. This can be used as proof when we nominate the article to AfD. --Khoikhoi 22:19, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Some Iranian editors are questioning the fact that Jews and other religious minorities have been historically been called najis by Shia clergy. AucamanTalk 20:26, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
- why are they bringing his up as an issue? What rational would this have with the article? That has no place on the article. 69.196.139.250 16:36, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

solution
I really cant do anything. Some people find pleasure in ruining articles and causing confrontation. But you can help by citing your concerns, with evidence, here. Make sure you log in with a username, so your voice will have a User identification and more weight in discussions.--Zereshk 22:21, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Re: Are you really a Muslim?
I'm a Muslim, but I don't know how the particular issue that you brought up concerns me as a Muslim. If the claim is inaccurate then you're right to dispute the claim and since I know very little about Khomeini, I cannot help you. I also don't see any evidence that Aucaman suggested that all, most, are even some Muslim clerics sanction bestiality. --Inahet 00:40, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
I did not include the statement about sex with children. Someone else this. The only thing I pointed out is that Khomeini's writings specify non-Muslims to be najis and I have given enough evidence for this. (One from Bernard Lewis; the other from a direct translation of Khomeini's work.) Please don't go around misrepresenting me with statements I do not approve. AucamanTalk 22:24, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- These are your direct quotes on the Khoeimini discussion page ;
I had seen some literature out there suggesting that Khomenini approved of sex with children and animals. Now someone has added some of these claims into this article. I'm not going to take them out, but the article is going to receive a dispute tag until these information are verified. AucamanTalk 04:23, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
