Nikolaos "Nikos" Karabelas (born 20 December 1984) is a Greek football leftback, who currently plays for AEK Athens F.C. in Super League Greece. Karabelas is most known for his spectacular crossing and passing.

Karabelas made his debut for Aris Thessaloniki F.C. against Skoda Xanthi in 2000 at the age of 16, and was soon thereafter a mainstay in the Aris starting 11. He was eventually driven out of Aris after receiving threats from the club's fans following on from a missed penalty against PAOK F.C. in the Greek Cup semi-finals, which is one of the greatest rivalries in Greece.

On 10 June 2009 Karabelas was transferred to AEK Athens after 9 season with Aris, and signed a 4 year deal.[1] Dusan Bajevic, the then manager of AEK, knew the player from having managed him previously and stated that Karabelas had huge talent and was in his plans for AEK in the new season.

Karabelas has also been in thoughts to be called up for Greece by Otto Rehhagel.
