Linking discussion boards?

Does Wikipedia have some sort of a policy against linking to discussion boards? I think the link to lxforums is certainly warranted on this page, unless it violates some sort of policy explicitely.--Ktwombley 14:17, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

The Magnum became available with all-wheel drive in 2005 on SXT and RT models. The AWD SXT and the RT use a Mercedes-Benz-derived 5-speed automatic transmission, while all other models use a four-speed automatic. - this is not true. European Chrysler 300C Touring

I inserted the following into Karrmann's talk page: "You write the current European Chrysler 300C Touring will become a Dodge Magnum (like in the North American market). Where did you get that info? True, DaimlerChrysler is trying to introduce the Dodge brand in Europe (as can be seen easily on the Geneva motor show which is currently on). But this rebranding would surprise me endlessly because the European Chrysler 300C Touring has been successfully positioned ex aequo or even above the 300C Sedan. Large/Full-Size Station Wagon?

I dislike the classification of the Dodge Magnum as a large or full-size station wagon. The Environmental Protection Agency classifies the Magnum as a sport utility vehicle becuase it has all wheel drive as an option. However, suppose one were to consider it a station wagon. The EPA classifies wagons as small, medium, or large based on the sum of passenger volume and cargo space behind the second row seats. By this system a small wagon has a total volume of less than 140 cubic feet and a large wagon has at least 160 cubic feet with medium wagons having a total volume between these two values. The passenger space of the Dodge Magnum is 105 cubic feet and the cargo space behind the second row is 27 cubic feet, and so it has a total volume of 132 cubic feet. Thus the Magnum should be classified as a small station wagon. For comparison the 1991-1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate/Chevrolet Caprice Estate/Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser had a passenger volume of 115 cubic feet and the cargo space behind the second row was 55 cubic feet, and so had a total volume of 170 cubic feet. Although the Magnum has significantly less passenger space because it has 5 inches shoulder room (fore and aft) than these last examples of large station wagons, where it truly falls short is in the cargo area which is compromised by a sharply downwardly sloping roof yielding a cargo volume behind the second row half of what was typical in most large station wagons. Inspecting the Dodge Magnum alongside a Buick Roadmaster Estate will make it evident to most why calling Magnum a large or full-size station wagon is extremely misleading.--Sadowski (talk) 15:34, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

wagon or 4-door shooting brake?

I would call it a station wagon styled as a 4-door shooting brake. The visual impression of the 425hp SRT8 is overwhelmingly evocative of the classic custom-built European shooting brakes, but of course those are all essentially high-performance 2-door station wagons... the lord and his gameskeeper up front, guns and dogs in back.
