Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 95.44.149.144, has made unconstructive edits, which have been reverted. If you did this, in the future please try to contribute in a more constructive manner. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome! ZH8000 (talk) 16:41, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:02, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Number of guns per capita by country has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Do not discuss in edit summary, but on talk page! If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I would have said your edits are inaccurate and/or inappropriate. This discussion has already taken place on the Swiss gun ownership articles in wikipedia, backed by numerous sources.

The argument made by the editor of the article is that the gun ownership quoted numbers in Switzerland should be reduced, because the Swiss do not allow you to take home Government issued ammunition for the weapons. This has been shown, numerous times, to be incomplete and misleading. The Swiss citizen can buy ammunition for his/her guns privately. They simply cannot take home the state supplied ammunition. The military weapon can also be turned into a semi. This means the 45.7 is accurate. Even in the single source cited, the author says he/she does not know the true amount of weapons and estimates between 1 and 4.4 million.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Number of guns per capita by country. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ZH8000 (talk) 12:51, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Repeat again, this has already been debated in the Wiki talk page, hence from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Switzerland

"At the end of military service period the previously used gun can be converted to a privately owned gun after a weapon acquisition permit has been granted (fully automatic weapons will be rebuilt into semi-automatic ones)"

The note that you are trying to enter is misleading and has been refuted. 45.7 is the sourced figure. There is nothing substantive to to back up 25.

It is quite clear, you have no intention of adhering to objective encyclopedic standards, and I have no intention of going back and forth with this inane nonsense. This is why Wikipedia is not trusted.
