Request reason:

Hello this is Timothy Jones, the summer school coordinator. I have noticed that you blocked one of my student's account and the whole schools IP address. I asked my student what happened and he admitted that he was abusing multiple accounts, block evasion and sockpuppetry. I am sorry for his behavior and it will never happen again. I have also noticed that you blocked the schools IP address 97.101.186.114. We have a project due on June 18 and we need the students to help and edit Wikipedia. This is a student assignment and our students need to edit at least 2 articles. So I would like you to unblock our IP address and my students account AwesomeKid16. Don't worry about vandalism. I will be watching them via LanSchool to ensure that they are making constructive edits. The person that blocked our IP address(97.101.186.114) and my students account(AwesomeKid16)was Yamla so please ask him to unblock them as we are trying to help you. Again, sorry for my student's behavior. Thank you and have a good day.97.101.186.114 (talk) 17:30, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Given that every single edit from this IP has been vandalism: no. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 18:27, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Timothy Jones again, Look sir/ma'am I need you to unblock this IP address 97.101.186.114. If you don't, I could lose my job because that's part of our schools curriculum to help people. We only vandalized like 3 articles and your'e telling me that you cant just unblock my students for a week? Im 22, and still live at my mom's house, I go to college and this is my summer job.I need some money to help me get back in order to buy a house. Look Wikipedia,If you don't unblock the kids, the principal will be involved. At least unblock, one of my students accounts AwesomeKid16 so I could show the kids an example. Please Wikipedia, I dont want this to happen to me. 97.101.186.114 (talk) 19:56, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There are a few problems with this request: Firstly, we have no way to tell whether you are indeed the summer school coordinator or someone falsely claiming to be a summer school coordinator. Secondly, the account AwesomeKid16 is not a good example of what a Wikipedian should be, it's a self-confessed sockpuppet of blocked User:AwesomeKid14. We will not unblock someone who proudly declares they'll lie to us (see also "firstly"). Your request to have that specific account unblocked also makes me doubt your judgement, particularly in connection with your conflict of interest. Thirdly, if you indeed are the summer school coordinator and are doing this for your job, you've just violated the Terms of Use. So in summary, no, neither this IP nor the account, both linked to a known vandal and sockpuppeteer, will be unblocked. Huon (talk) 20:12, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't help that this vandal explicitly stated they are "using hack tools and lying to administratiors (sic). Nothing can stop me now." It's a bit hard to fathom that you would lose your job over Wikipedia blocking another person from editing. I want to be clear, I do not believe you are telling the truth. But if you are, I encourage you to take advantage of WP:ASSIGN. Asking us to unblock the very vandal responsible for all these problems leads me to think you are just outright trolling us, however. --Yamla (talk) 20:03, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.

Request reason:

Requesting an IP address block exemption, because: my school always share the same account, so that probably why you blocked us. It will never happen again). 97.101.186.114 (talk) 18:14, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=Requesting an IP address block exemption, because: my school always share the same account, so that probably why you blocked us. It will never happen again). [[Special:Contributions/97.101.186.114|97.101.186.114]] ([[User talk:97.101.186.114#top|talk]]) 18:14, 4 July 2017 (UTC) |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=Requesting an IP address block exemption, because: my school always share the same account, so that probably why you blocked us. It will never happen again).
