Mohamed Fawzi (Egyptian Arabic: محمد فوزي, born Mohamed Fawzi Abbas Elhaw, 1918–1966) was an Egyptian composer and singer. Artist Mohamed Fawzi & Co was established El sharq El Awsat factory for CDs in April 30, 1959 and turned into Sono Cairo /Sout Al-Qahira Company for CDs in January 6, 1964. He composed the music for "Kassaman", the Algerian national anthem.
Early life
He was born in Tanta, Egypt. He was an Oud player at a very young age.[1] His sister was the renowned actress Huda Sultan.[2][2]
