Saadia Sehar Haidari (born in Lahore, Pakistan 16 Feb 1971) is a journalist in Pakistan.She is a Pakistan's First Female photojournalist and video journalist.A skill inherited from her uncles and grandfather Muhammed Buksh Bhatti who himself was a famous Pakistani photographer owner of M.Bhatti Photo and Portrait studio,established in 1942,She is a famous Pakistani photographer herself. But by taking up this role, she became Pakistan’s first employed female photojournalist for Associated Press of Pakistan and Geo News, and was inspired to enter journalism after her husband who was killed by the Taliban.While mourning the loss of her husband, Saadia was offered a job by Reuters which she accepted.Saadia has received numerous accolades. She has been selected to attend many international programs and seminars on photojournalism and had the opportunity to visit Washington under the U.S.-Pakistan cultural exchange program.[1][2].She appears on Al Jazeera Arabic,VOA,and PTV news channels as first female Photo and video journalist in Pakistan.She has been selected to attend many international programs and seminars on photojournalism and had the opportunity to visit Washington under the U.S.-Pakistan cultural exchange program.
