Contradictions across articles
- Article Tommy_DeSimone says:
- DeSimone killed William "Billy Batts" Devino
- Article Henry Hill (mobster) says:
- DeSimone, a man notorious for his short fuse, had murdered Ronald "Billy Batts" Jerrothe,
- Article Jimmy Burke says:
- They were charged with extortion, convicted and sentenced to ten years in prison. Burke was paroled after six years and went straight back to crime, as did Hill, who got out around the same time.
- Article Henry Hill (mobster) says:
- Found guilty, they were given 10 year sentences, but Hill was able to gain parole after serving only four-and-a-half years.
Anybody able to tie these up? --bodnotbod 21:11, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- Henry Hill doesn't really know what he's talking about and so if someone has editted that page on Hill's stupid evidnence that is why it's wrong and Burke and Hill were sentenced to 10 years, the truth is that Burke (in an Atlanta jail) and Hill (in an New York jail) were in prison from 1972-1978, because Burke was still in a halfway-house when they planned the Lufthansa Heist (1978) and so Burke and Hill were paroled after 6 years not 4, the only reason someone's put it was 4 years is because they've seen GoodFellas and thought that when it says 4 years later it had shown you Hill in prison when he had only just arrived but in fact he had already been in prison for 2 years —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.2.91.164 (talk • contribs)
- Can you please remain non-partisan, and not use words like "stupid" and "wrong" to describe any information? There is a such thing as misinformation, but no information is stupid. -Emhilradim 09:32, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
The article says "In 1982, Henry Hill and his family were kicked out of the Witness Protection Program for continued violations of the rules of the program." but then "Because of his numerous crimes while in witness protection, Hill (along with his wife) was expelled from the program in the early 1990s". The years are inconsistent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.15.48 (talk) 03:05, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
The article says: "Vacation in Florida
Karen and Hill split up for a while; Hill had been cheating with a woman named Linda. Hill then went with Casey Rosado and Jimmy Burke on a vacation to Tampa, Florida. They went to Casey's parents', and met with Casey's cousin to collect a debt from a man named John Ciaccio." Should be "Gaspar" Ciaccio, not John Ciaccio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.247.160.66 (talk) 13:07, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- For clarification, the James Burke (gangster) article uses "Gaspar Ciaccio" while this article uses "John Ciaccio". Neither article has references. A brief Google search turns up uses of both names. -- Pemilligan (talk) 00:18, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Batts was called William, hence the Billy part
By the way what Hill says is always a bit screwed up, his head's ruined, I was listening to his commentry on GoodFellas and he says that they whacked Batts in December, right after it had said it was June 11th 1970 and June 11th is his birthday, basically 5 minutes earlier he had pointed out Billy was whacked on his borthday (June 11th) and then he's saying they killed him in December —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.2.91.164 (talk • contribs)
- Once more... Not appropriate. The idea is to remain non-partisan, and not insult a source of information. It's alright to question their validity, and/or question their reliability, but it's not alright to state that their "head is ruined." There is no need to insult a source of information, only state that you doubt its credibility, and then make reference or link some evidence to show why you doubt this. -Emhilradim 09:35, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
I think on IMDB it says that they changed his (Batts) date of death to allow the cast to wear shot sleeved shirts. SpecialAgentUncleTito 02:05, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Hill's place of residence
I happen to know, from a program of British TV, which town Hill lives in, do you think it would be prudent to have it on wikipedia. I understand that it could pose a threat to his life, but he broadcast it on TV, where anybody could hear it.
JBAK
- Henry Hill is homeless. It was discovered by a member on Stern Fan Network and has made the Howard 100 News. He lives on the streets of California. It doesn’t pose any threat to his life. Anybody who wants him dead is dead. The mob doesn’t care about him anymore. Redd Dragon speak 23:59, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Section restructure
I did some minor cleaning up for books, articles, footnotes and the like; I just wikified those. Besides the already tagged trivia section, there is one section with way too many one line paragraphs which makes it also read like an additional trivia section. I tagged that for restructure as it needs to be converted to prose. MagnoliaSouth (talk) 15:26, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Ebay?
There is a mention that Hill is selling stuff on Ebay, but I have to ask the group this: Why is this relevant to his bio? It smells spamish or at the very least fan-clubish to me. Am I alone? Wouldn't it be better to list his Ebay sales under external sites? MagnoliaSouth (talk) 15:26, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Children's names
THe article says his children's names are Gregg & Gina...but I know from the book that one's name is Ruth, can't remember the ohter, but weren't they both girls? Were Gregg & Gina names they took after joining the WPP? This isn't made clear in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.136.192.1 (talk) 22:16, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- In real life he had a son and daughter. In the book Wiseguy and the movie Goodfellas they were changed to two daughters to protect the family's identity. I read in an article [2] that Gregg and Gina are pen names Hill's children used to further protect themselves. (Their real names are different and unknown). When they appear on interviews they are disguised.JeffStickney (talk) 03:43, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
HENRY HILL AS A FATHER - A few years back I saw in interview with his 2 children in which they discussed the realities of the Hill household: Henry was not a 'happy Irish drinker' but an abusive husband and father, who created an atmosphere of fear in his household. The 2 children made a point of refuting the mythology that the NY media has built around Henry. To them, he was not a hero or matinee idol; he was a bully.
I think it's very fitting that his Wikipedia page is a hopeless hodgepodge of factual error, misrepresentation and confusion. Perhaps his media legend will die with him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justwanderinby (talk • contribs) 17:48, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

If you click on the link it goes to the German page about him. It doesn't look right and it also the brings allot of spam popup’s up too. (Some of which can not be clicked off) what is also weird is that it is mostly written in English. (Butters x (talk) 09:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC))

Karen Friedman (born circa 1946) is one of three daughters of a strict Jewish family and grew up in Nassau County, New York. In 1965, she was working as a dental hygienist, and after work she and a friend would go to the Villa Capra, on Cedarhurst Avenue, in Brooklyn, New York, for drinks. It was there that she first met Henry Hill, a reputed associate of the Lucchese crime family, on a double date.
After four months of dating they eloped to North Carolina, where they married on August 29, 1965. They had first tried to wed in Maryland, but could not get a blood test right away so they kept going. The newlyweds returned to Karen's mother's house, where they lived upstairs in a large remodeled bedroom suite. Henry, who grew up Catholic, decided to pretend to convert to Judaism, because her parents wanted them to remarry in a Jewish ceremony.
The marriage was tumultuous, and both Karen and Henry were involved in drugs and extramarital affairs over the years. They raised two children, Gregg and Gina, first in New York and later in various locations while they were in the Witness Protection Program, including Omaha, Nebraska, Lexington, Kentucky, and Redmond, Washington.
Karen and Henry officially separated in 1989; she filed for divorce in 1990, but it was not finalized until 2002.
Today she lives under a new name and runs her own business. The events of her life were portrayed in Martin Scorsese's 1990 film, GoodFellas, by actress Lorraine Bracco. Her son Gregg Hill is now a practicing attorney and is married with children. Her daughter Gina Hill was last reported to be working for a large financial organization in New York City.

Aron Burch?
Nowhere in the main article is there a mention of (I suppose) the name change (temporary?) of Henry Hill -> Aron Burch. However, the photo and bio on the right list the name as ' 'Aron Burch' '. It's confusing. - User:Mrbort|((talk)))

- This article could really use more sources and in-line citations. One section is completely without references, while the others could definitely benefit from some additional references. bwmcmaste (talk) 05:38, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Alleged death
TMZ reports his death on June 12 2012 http://www.tmz.com/2012/06/12/henry-hill-dead-goodfellas/[3] — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:34, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
Items of concern
- Much of the article reads like it's straight out of a book or screenplay. Do we really need all the details of incidents like the Billy Batts murder, etc.? If most of this isn't plagiarized verbatim from Pileggi (which I don't have to compare against), it's got to be awfully close.
- At Henry Hill#OfficialDocExistence: "Hill's first arrest took place when he was sixteen; this record is one of the few official documents that prove his existence." Despite the ref from the book, this doesn't make sense. The FBI has boxes of files on him, not to mention decades of living openly after being kicked out of WP, during which he wrote books, was written about, and interviewed.
- At Henry Hill#Eloped: "The two later eloped to North Carolina where they had a large wedding, attended by most of Hill's gangster friends." "Eloped" is running away to Vegas with, at most, a couple friends, and getting married in the Little White Wedding Chapel by an Elvis impersonator :) This is inconsistent with the large wedding described.
There are probably more of these – it's tough to read it critically for any period of time without being drawn into the story and glossing over some of these details. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 17:02, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Death
I think the Death section contains puffery. The quotations of statements made by loved ones, and especially the quotation of Ray Liotta, don't appear to be encyclopedic. I am prepared to remove most of that material and rewrite that section, but before I do I'd like to give other interested editors an opportunity to discuss it. The Lufthansa Heist
The newly released book does not agree with the article. Among other issues it claims the heist with the pants and key ring was an earlier robbery of Air France. Who is right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.136.29.223 (talk) 10:43, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

Air France and Lufthansa conflated
The Air France robbery and Lufthansa heist seem to have been conflated, mixing details of both into one crime at Henry Hill § Air France robbery. I removed the $6 million figure from the first sentence, but the rest needs to be verified against our article and the source, and the Lufthansa heist section should be rewritten (there was one at one point). —[AlanM1(talk)]— 23:10, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
