A bit about me
- Place of birth: Hong Kong
- Current residence : London / Hong Kong
- Ethnic affiliation : Southern Han Chinese - mixed Min-Wu
- Things I do somewhat decently : make maps, consume music theory (usually for breakfast)
- Current job : student, I guess
I started learning random languages when I was around 8. I grew up trilingual, but my school in the UK forced me to pick more, so eventually it just piled up
Southern Chinese supremacy, northerners can go back to their cold industrial wasteland
Woodwind supremacy, brass can go back to their dumb “band” things
Majority of composition can be found on MuseScore. Several have been performed in real life by musicians of relatively high quality
Preferences of Sinitic language classification and typology
I was brought up in Hong Kong, so naturally my preference would be the Traditional script. I can read and type in Simplified perfectly well, though I cannot write it as quickly as my Traditional. In my opinion, the idea of a “Unified Chinese language” is dumb and stupid and dumb and should not be present in any human’s brain
