The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Michael van der Veen. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Michael van der Veen), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Attribution
You have recently created List of awards and nominations received by Patrick Stewart and List of awards and nominations received by Matt LeBlanc by copying content from Patrick Stewart and Matt LeBlanc, respectively, without providing attribution to the article and work from which you copied them, as required by Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. As you have removed and ignored previous messages regarding this, please consider this your final warning. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 21:21, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I don't fully understand what you are asking. I often don't copy large portions that can't be recreated by myself. In fact I often re-create my own tables. Also how are you able to specifically find who originally created any table? It's often difficult isn't it? Other than scrolling through pages and pages of page revisions. If you have any tips please let me know. I wrote a general, "credit given", when creating these pages. Thanks! The One I Left (talk) 00:21, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Some of the content you are "re-creating" in some of these list articles were copied from other Wikipedia pages; the references cited for instance are exact copies. Even if you reformat the tables, it is still copying. Please read WP:PATT very carefully to see how to give proper attribution. Merely writing "credit given" is not sufficient. The easiest way to give proper attribution is to leave an edit summary that says: "copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution". See this edit summary as an example. Bennv123 (talk) 13:56, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- And as I stated in my previous message, proper attribution is still required (not optional) for all your previous articles too. That means that you should go back to your previous articles, and if some of the content was copied from another Wikipedia page, you should leave an edit summary that says something to the effect of: "my previous edits copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution". See this example. Bennv123 (talk) 14:05, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Ah I see now. Thanks very much for the examples. Will do so in the future and will work on going back as well. Cheers! The One I Left (talk) 16:24, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- When creating a new list, don’t use “content in previous edits were copied from [[page name]]” in your edit summary since a new page won’t have any previous edits. Just put “content copied from [[page name]].” Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 22:29, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

With this edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mo%27Nique&diff=prev&oldid=1082665458 you quoted Netflix as:
"African-American woman have been paid substantially more money to create comedy specials for Netflix’s streaming service than what was offered to Plaintiff...and Plaintiff fails to explain why she was entitled to be offered what the stars to whom she compares herself were offered for creating such comedy specials."
... however, the source quotes Netflix as:
“[H]er Complaint contradicts its core premise by noting that other persons of color, other women, and another African-American woman (like Plaintiff) have been paid substantially more money to create comedy specials for Netflix’s streaming service than what was offered to Plaintiff,”
You left off the first half of the sentence. That's fine, except you need to indicate that somehow. With elipses, for example, "...African-american woman (like Plaintiff)"
You also removed "(like Plaintiff)" which Netflix actually said, and did not indicate removal. We cannot just remove stuff others have said in order to improve flow, or whatever the reason was you removed that.
When we quote something, we are saying the source said it EXACTLY as we are quoting, unless we properly indicate otherwise. Your edit has already caused another editor confusion, thinking "woman" was a grammatical error, and not the result of your quoting Netflix out of context. Please, when quoting, quote EXACTLY, or otherwise indicate that what we are quoting is in some way different. Le Marteau (talk) 22:54, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Bill Maher. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 19:28, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

The talk page could use a project tag, I do wonder if the title might be shortened to 'list of awards received by...' and also if we really, really need this list apart from his standalone article...

Policy violations
Hi The One I Left. Looking at your recent edit history, I find that the policy-related issues in your edits when we first interacted a few years back, particularly sourcing and adhering to NPOV, have continued. This is also evident in some edits that other users reverted. Since you edit a lot of BLPs, I believe it is crucial that you re-familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability. While I don't see the need for an WP:ANI report at this time, I would be inclined to see what other users would say about my view of this behavior should it continue. Thanks! KyleJoantalk 04:19, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- I'll use this edit on Taika Waititi as a recent example of my point. You wrote that Waititi "began his work on television as a frequent director of HBO's Flight of the Concords". The body does not support this claim or contain any source that does, which means the material violated both the verifiability and NPOV policies by being unsourced and putting undue weight on that series. You seem to have some degree of personal knowledge about the BLP subjects on which we have interacted, so I'll reiterate that this knowledge has to take a backseat to the sources present in the article as well as the content they support.
- Aside from this, my observation tells me you also have a history of adding or removing content inappropriately for different reasons and leaving other users to fix your mistakes. In this instance, you wrote that Reservation Dogs started airing in 2019. That's incorrect. It premiered in 2021. It's clear that you mean well, but please also be more careful in ensuring the accuracy of your edits. Thanks again. KyleJoantalk 05:22, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi User:KyleJoan, responded to you points on your page! Thanks for reaching out. The One I Left (talk) 13:32, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- Your response on my talk page lets me know that you really need to re-familiarize yourself with these policies. Whether Waititi actually "began his work on television" with Flight, the material you included based on your own conclusion isn't verified anywhere in the article. Regarding the "simple typo error", this is only one example of a plethora of errors that others have brought to your attention. Like I said, some of your edits seem to involve the same issues over and over. I see that there have also been other issues involving expanding lead sections and splitting articles. Please accept my advice above. KyleJoantalk 14:22, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
