Thanks

I appreciate your chipping in on this project. It's massive! :/ --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:38, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

I do want to warn you, though, that sometimes it isn't easy to find infringement! The Alexander Brest Planetarium copied from this site. What I usually do is take a small run of text and run a google search on it, -Wikipedia, like this. Then I check to be sure it's not a wikimirror, and, if it's not, it's usually clear who said it first. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:46, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Cool! I must try that! Otherwise, this could take the rest of my wiki career. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:55, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Another reason to thank you! That is awesome--made short work of my current article to check. That could trim hundreds of hours off of this task for me. (I might double check my way if it doesn't find anything, but if it does, I'm in good!) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:02, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

FPBot relisting discussions? XD

See, for example, this - evidently, subst:ing {{relist}} automagically adds a signature... in this case, FPBot's. {{relist}} can, however, take a single parameter (a signature) to prevent the automatic insertion. Just thought you'd appreciate the heads-up. ;) ダイノガイ?!」(Dinoguy1000) 15:31, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Clarification

What I meant was, if you know a page shouldn't be edited under any circumstances, make sure the bot avoids it - regardless of whether or not it has the bots template or not. - Jarry1250 (t, c) 21:15, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

ACC

Hello FunPika it has been a week or so since my request for ACC (Account Creator Control) and I believe that I am ready to be granted the permissions. I have used this time productively familiarizing myself with the policies, guidelines and rules. Please give me your decision on the matter. Thanks. L07ChLeo3 (talk) 22:02, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

RfA removal

Hi there, I saw that you removed Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Yuvmil from WP:RfA. Normally after doing this, you should be sure to inform the candidate that you did so, with a message referring to WP:NOTNOW. Thanks! -download | sign! 22:32, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Echoing the above, please discuss it with the candidate before doing this. The candidate indicated on User talk:NuclearWarfare that they would not like it closed. It will possibly be SNOW closed, but it wasn't open for even a half hour yet.  iMatthew :  Chat  22:33, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Talkback

Hello, FunPika. You have new messages at [[User talk:Genius101#ACC Tool|Genius101's talk page]].
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Yes, it was me who requested access to the tool. Genius101Guestbook 21:44, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Misunderstanding of WP:PROD

Replied on my talk page, of course. Flyer22 (talk) 20:12, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

I am basically done with this discussion. Consider it over. Flyer22 (talk) 20:58, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Backlog

I'm just wondering what the advantage of announcing the trigger for the backlog notice on Category:Pending Afc requests. Considering the amount of stuff on that page already it might be better as it was before. It's a nice option though and I didn't know you could do that with {{backlog}}. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:28, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

ACC

Yes it was me who requested it.--Yue of the North 12:57, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

AFC close

If it was a copyright violation you were right to close it right away, if I had been aware of it I would have closed it myself - good catch. MPJ-DK (talk) 10:26, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Sfp tpl

Hi FunPika! I didn't leave you a note personally because I thought that, since the change was bot-generated, there must have been some consensus on the change somewhere, and I thought I'd start with the general throng. Sorry if I ruffled feathers, and thanks for the reply. Cheers, Pegship (talk) 20:06, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Environics communications logo.gif)

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Environics communications logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 20:47, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

GA Sweeps invitation

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are listed as a GA reviewer. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! ACC Reactivation

Hello FunPika-

I was wondering if you could reactivate my ACC account. I've been inactive for awhile, and I decided to come back to Wikipedia and resume editing. My account on the tool is the same as my username on Wikipedia, L337p4wn.

Thank you!
